I agree...it's never too late! I too am 61 and in the last 10 years have been slowly putting on the weight. I hate it! A few years ago I did MFP and I know it works...I sadly went back to my old life style. But now I'm back and still trying...never stop trying! Befriend me if you like. We can do this! Jen

I also have acid reflex. I couldn't take most of the medicines they gave me...they made all my joints ache. Another one I am trying is Ranitdine, so far so good but I do have to watch what I eat. All the foods you listed I stay away from. I find if I eat smaller meals, just more often that helps. Also don't eat a few hours…

Don't forget...eat back your exercise calories! Your eating less then 1200 after exercise and you need more food!:flowerforyou:

This was a good topic for me too, today! I blew it...all this past week I've been doing so good. Went for a ride today to Watkins Glen (New York) and up around the lake. How about me? I just turned 60 years *young*. I've never run but I have a treadmill and have been slowly jogging maybe 1 minute then walk then when ever I think I can do another... jog...any other over 60 joggers out there? Jen

I always believed when someone is putting you down they are trying to make themselves look better... In their case, I wouldn't want to be them! Hold your head up high, your right, your doing something about it! What do they know???
