Looking to get Healthy: Low(er) carb, High(er) Protein, LOTS of veggies!

Hello All,
This is my second time around with MFP, but this time is different. I'm honestly okay with how I look (first time in 38 years...), but I want to get healthier. My BP is fantastic, but know my cholesterol is not so great. Trying to get my joints, muscles, etc to feel better and have less creaks and pops when I get up in the mornings.
For the past 2 months I've upped my protein and cut about 80% of my carbs (which is torture for this carboholic). Still eating whole grains (triscuits, mini wheat cereal, granola, etc). My cheat item is tortilla chips (LOVE THEM!).
I've also upped my intake of veggies quite a bit. I made my husband hide my scale so I honestly don't know if I've lost anything or not, but I'm okay with that
