I hope it's not a bad word - otherwise I can't tell my son what type of engineering degree I have... Oh - and while we are at it, can somebody please explain to the non-GMO crowd that you have never eaten a naturally occuring ear of corn in your lifetime, and likely have not eaten a natural variety of tomato in your life;…

180*3 per bag or 540. If you split the bag, it is 270 each.

My son is Niklas - spelling inspired by quite a few Scandinavian hockey players mostly on the Red Wings ;)

Only partially - I think there's a place for both, but I think the education system should favor the worksheets and sight words and the parents should generally focus on the motor development. Yes, in kindergarten a full day of school plus an hour of homework seems excessive - but also the OP is stating that the child is…

I think this is great, if your child is preparing to either dig holes or take his chances at being an artist later in life. (The term 'starving artist' comes up because so few are actually successful).

My favorite thing is all the people who post about having these strict requirements to be their friends - and then you check out their profile and it's private so nobody can actually know any of that (including to send them a message with the fr) unless they are already their friend. And there are 3 like that who posted…

They hyman diet definitely needs to include beef in it. It's a great source of protein ;)

That's what the calendar on the smart phone is for...

I lost 60 pounds counting calories and exercising. I put on 15 of those by eating clean, not counting calories and exercising less. It's too hard to underestimate the calories - I put on the 15 by eating more unprocessed meats and nuts.

You are 18. It was a high school fling. Get over it and move on. Kids are dumb and this guy was a kid.

I would find a different reading spot, but that's just me.

And have to be particularly dense to argue on the Intrawebz...

Dump him - it'll be something else if you stay with him.

If you are doing it right you are making healthier choices in your lifestyle so there is nothing to cheat on. Is it OK to not make the best choices for one day here and there? Sure - it just means you may not meet your goal as fast. Certainly having a day where you don't track is scary - I try to log about what I eat…

It's close between when I was on the high school wrestling team and now - but I'd probably say now. I'm definitely stronger now.

Tough love is about giving somebody else control of you. To lose and keep it off and stay healthy YOU need to be in control of you. From the little I've seen, they don't teach you that. Our society in general is not about teaching you that you are in control of you - so it's not surprising.

Ripe bananas start to turn into simple sugars rather than complex sugars (like eating a spoonful of table sugar rather than an apple). Bad is relative - as seen from other posters you can certainly reach your goal eating bananas. Are they the best fruit choice? Probably not. I find my sugar spikes and I'm hungry sooner if…

Happy Birthday - mine too :drinker:

Why do so many people think that meat is unhealthy?

Definitely a slicer. I'm hoping now that I'm in shape that I can hit it straight, or at least longer ;)

Getting and keeping a job is about work ethic and people skills. School means very little in the real world, from what I have seen.

Guess there are no golfers here :(

I use mine as my scale. My Wii fit age moved from right around my age on average to about 10 years below on average last fall. I stopped checking it and just weigh in now. One of my goals is to always be in the 'normal' weight (I was in Obese when I started). I am hovering right at the edge - need to lose about 3 more…

This.

Nothing wrong with any of that for breakfast. Portion control!

This was going to be my comment - start somewhere. Going from zero to full bore isn't going to work for everybody.

I guessed and now think I'm really going to go 5-10 pounds lighter.

There is no spot reduction. You lose as you increase activity levels and lower calorie intake.
