Feel free to add! Been on the site a while, but can always use some more people to help encourage and motivate! Trying to continue to loose weight while rehabing my knee. Still have about 50 lbs and about 10 inches off my waist to go. Lets get it going!

After posting this I did a search for weak knees. Turns out there are lots of people who have similar issues. One posting said to ride a stationary bike and another said working on building your quads would help your knees. Any comments to either of those suggestions?

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life! Glad you've found this site and are having go of it. This is my third time starting over so I can identify with your situation. Take everything day by day and keep your reason for choosing this journey in front of you and you'll do awesome. Find people who have similar…

I'd say the simple answer is that Bilbo and the dwarves were guided by Gandalf, while Frodo and the other hobbits took a more circuitous route. Just a guess as one Tolkien nerd to another. :D

Thank you for posting this! Awesomeness personified.

This is awesome! Just another way to make the weight loss journey fun. I hadn't been keeping track of the miles so far this year, just been running for time, but I will from here on out. So far I've crossed the Great Road from the Brandywine Bridge and entered into Tookland.

I only just recently started paying attention to football/soccer. My interest was peeked about a year ago when I found a local radio show that covered soccer both in the US and abroad. Since then I've began watching and listening to more, trying to educate myself. I didn't want to be a Man City/Man U/Chelsea fan just…

I've been on MFP for a while, but had been having trouble staying consistent recently. Hoping to get started off on the right foot for the new year and be successful at reaching my goal and keeping it off this time. Hope I can help encourage you on your journey.

I'm starting over too. Hope we can encourage each other in the new year!

As illustrated by the story about the husband and wife and the jeep, men are very one dimensional. We don't look at and read into everything the way you ladies do. Not saying that's a bad thing, just we are made differently. Also as has been noted on here several times, communication is KEY!!!! Your husband and your…

From Modesto, but live in North Texas now. Miss the variety of scenery and terrain in California.

About to be 33, but I'm hoping I'll feel like I'm in my 20's once I lose this weight. Let's get this done.

Welcome! Knowing where you are going is half the battle. Having a support network will make this a little easier. Looking forward to seeing you reach your goals, and I hope I can help.

I have found music plays a key part in my ability to get past the timer and focus on getting the job done. I just recently started back on an exercise program, and I'm focusing more on cardio to try and burn the spare the off of my hips as quickly as possible. Also visualizing myself on a 1/4 mile track finishing up that…
