Looks flat. My 5k time is about 29 minutes, on average.

Wow! Big difference! This is also really eye-opening because I was at 160 pounds for years and am now 146 (and have been for awhile). It's great perspective to see the progress! (I'm 5'3). I'm still trying to get below 140...

So as a 28-year-old who has no pre-existing conditions that I know of...I should be okay doing HIIT on the rowing machine?

Wow! Amazing progress in 90 days!!! Keep it up -- I can really see the difference!!

I agree. I always write down on a small piece of paper the routines and reps I want to do (and carry it around the gym) and when you have that list in front of you, it helps you focus on what you're there to do. I used to be intimidated, too -- then I had a trainer for about two months and once I knew I was doing the moves…

I had the scale tell me I was 30 percent body fat, and the calipers (done by a trainer who does this often) said I was 18 percent. And when she eyed me up beforehand, she said I looked to be about 20 percent. So....get measured a different way! And strength training -- I lost 4 percent body fat in 4 weeks with 3 sessions…

I was just curious about what number someone hits if he or she is free to eat anything on a designated rare day ( and is normally very regimented).

You look so fantastic!!!!!!! Congratulations!

Oh...seems I've been doing "light lifting" for the past month. BUT IT WAS HARD! 12-15 reps until failure. Hmmph.

What about ALA? Alpha Lipoic Acid? And Chromium? I started taking CLA and L-Carnitine yesterday. We'll see if it works...

I lost 2.5 kilos in a week (probably water) by just lifting and eating between 1500-1700 calories (mostly protein). And I've lost about .5 - 1 kilo per week since then on this regimen. But of course it will slow when I have less to lose. I have about 15 pounds to lose and you said you have just 5, so...it could be slow…

My trainer told me to back off the cardio while I'm building muscle -- I was running 4-5 miles at least 4 times a week. Now, I don't run at all and I lift 3 days a week. Haven't gained. And I think I'm eating way more than I was when running. She said running is the quickest way to lose muscle mass -- at least running for…
