First answer is correct. Grab a ti-89 calculator - It can solve and check this for you. Also look at wolframalpha.com.

Public as well.

Thanks for the reply - makes sense. I can understand that you need some fat. But how much? My question is - what impact on my body does increasing fat/reducing carbs (or vice versa) have?
-
Do the ratios matter? For example what is the difference between: Protein/Carbs/Fat: 40/40/20 40/30/30 (Assuming the 40% is at least 1 gram per LBM)? Or more simply - what does eating less carbs and more fat do in terms of cutting? I would (blindly) guess that eating less fat would help me cut but I have no reason or logic…

Don't even get girls started on underwear sizes..... I went to VS to get the gf some underwear and they said - is she a true small or a small? And I'm like....whatttttttttt? I guess there are different sizes within sizes!

AT&T has excellent coverage (3g and 4g) there throughout the whole city. I would assume Verizon does as well. Both of these companies will have the best coverage for you. All other companies will (in general) have worse coverage or ride on the existing networks. As for data usage - track it for a month to see why it's so…
-
Depends on coverage. I work for one of the providers so if you have a location I can tell you the coverage there. Also as a note - people rarely use the unlimited data. When I say rarely, I mean < 1%

The thing I love about your story - is how relatable it is. Though we don't look exactly the same I can absolutely relate with you and seeing your progress is another indicator to me that anyone can change. It's really a fresh perspective to the usual "already fit guy" who is now "super cut and fit". Thanks for sharing :)

That's an awesome job. It really is. I'm impressed.

I also know a few guys who do "push" and "pull" days - which focus on the type of motion. It seems like they overlap a lot of muscles as well. I would have to agree with what's stated - if you're not sore and seeing results after trying it out, then it's most likely working.

Wow - I haven't heard relationship advice this bad in a long long time. There are some good ideas in this thread, but the others are just shocking. Simply put - be yourself. Since you provided almost no details it's quite difficult to give you strong direction. You did, however, say he keeps messaging you and saying he…

Ninja'd in here after seeing the second post (and missing this original one). Count me in.

Having a spotter always helps (a lot). If you have trouble getting the bar off the rack, start the bar at a lower rung. (There are usually 3 rungs). I agree with the above comments though, the smith machine also forces a certain angle. So you might not have been correctly centered over the bar...etc. Best of luck!

Thanks for posting. Truth or Lies - it's more information for me.

Total guess here - I would guess adrenaline (epinephrine). Similar to how after a long day of work, you're exhausted. Then you leave the office and you're excited to get home and you get a "burst" of energy for no reason.

I'm the same way. So far only the Soy ones don't do that to me - but I don't like the Soy ones. I tend to just stick to protein bars. Kinda sucks since they are high sugar - but at least it doesn't upset my tummy

Durrrr...math fail. I think I got it. Calculate how much fat I have - remove that many pounds. =P Thanks!

Thanks! I did read through this - have a question or two. I assume using the TDEE method to calculate calories or the MFP method are both fine. My problem here is figuring out how much weight I want to lose. Do I put in my goal body fat % and try to eat at that level? Or put more simply - how much of a deficit should I eat…

I'll be doing a color run or something in July. Friend signed me up. I'm not a hard core runner but I can run from things =) Sounds fun - let me know if/when you guys are doing something.

To clarify - how much maximum weight can you add to a dumbell? You said you can only add 4 plates - how much does a plate weight?

Many woman (and men) have self-esteem issues. Without knowing you or your wife personally I don't think I can give pointed advice, but I hope general advice will suffice. In general - people with low self-esteem are looking for positive attention. There are many people (right here on MFP) who have low self-esteem and add…
