My goal for this week is to not sabotage myself! Every time I get to this weight (170ish - currently 172) I tend to sabotage myself. I haven't seen 160anything in more than 10 years - probably closer to 15. So, that being said, I will not turn back now and I will continue toward being healthy and happier with my body.

I had an issue with only cardio and found that the scale starting moving again when I decided to start lifting. I generally only use the belted machines but I do push hard and lift the heaviest that I can. I force myself through two sets of at least 10. Heart Rate Monitor. You can research them online and pick one that works for you. I have a Garmin FR60 with a chest strap and I love it!

I also use a HRM. Before I purchased it I would use the MFP cals. Some were below and some were above the actual calories burned depending on the exercise. I love my HRM though. I know it's right

It does burn more when you incline. It's like walking uphill - how much harder is that than to walk on flat ground? The harder it is to do the more it will condition your body & burn cals :)

I keep triscuits, tuna packs, and nuts handy. I usually try to pack something left over from supper for lunch. It helps me avoid the "oh crap what am I going to eat" moment - that almost always results in a bad decision. You cook supper anyway so just make an extra helping to bring with you :)
