I'm on Day 20 of the Whole 30. It definitely took some adjusting to come up with new meal ideas, but once you get over the initial BMW (*****ing, Moaning and Whining), it's actually pretty simple and straightforward. My diet has been sooo much healthier, mainly because I am no longer allowing "just a bite of this…

@FRAN, I totally understand! Even though I rarely (if ever) meet the 5 lb challenge, I continue to join to keep myself somewhat accountable. I figured if I wasn't setting these goals, I could end up far worse off. I agree that Monday weigh-ins help with the weekend motivation. As for my weigh-ins, because I am so close to…

Coming clean on my less than spectacular results over the last few months... I was at my lowest post-baby weight at the beginning of June at 143. Then the June results: +3 pounds Followed by July results: +2 pounds So, I will be starting August at 148 (again!), and my goal by the end of the month is to get back down to…
-
Ok, just to be all official about it... June +3 July +2 :embarassed:
-
Wow! I totally missed July! I'll definitely be joining you for August. After vacation, I hit my "RED ALERT" threshold at 150 pounds. I have been hovering between 145 and 150 (as low as 143), but refuse to go over 150 again, so now I am watching myself carefully. I am starting a Learn to Run 5k clinic tomorrow, so that…

June 1: 143 June 22: 146 (+3)GW July 1: 138 Hmm... let's hope this is a hormonally bloated weigh-in, and that I can at least get back down to June's starting weight before the end of the month.

Belle, just saw this now... We do have the same initial goal - to get to "normal" BMI. I was doing really well for about a month, but now am feeling a bit discouraged. I am normally doing ok during the day, but then evening hits, and I go a bit crazy.
-
Belle, so proud of you! I wish I could be more like you! I think I have gained 2 pounds instead of losing! Ugh. I need to get back to exercising, and I need more sleep. So tired that I've been making bad food decisions.
-
Ok, Belle, you've officially caught up with me. We are now the same weight. I seem to be stuck here, so I won't be surprised when you leave me in your dust at the end of the month... Wish I had your consistency!
-
Oops - did I say "April"?? I meant May... missed a month somehow...
-
Hey Belle - are you eating enough protein / healthy fats? I've recently added a handful of nuts to my daily diet, and it's helping keep the cravings away. Good luck this month! You've been doing incredibly well, especially with all the running! (no wonder you're so hungry!)
-
Holy cow - seven pages already? I'll have to catch up on the posts later. For now, I just wanted to get my starting weight in. June 1: 143GW July 1: 138 April started out badly, but turned around near the end, and I managed a 3 pound loss. Here's to June going more smoothly, and a full 5 pound loss! :drinker:

May 1: 146 May 11: 145 May 18: 147 May 25: 145 June 1: 143 Total loss for May: 3 pounds. Got back on track over the last week or two and manage to salvage a bit of the month. 3 pound loss, I'll take it! See you on the June thread!

Thanks for the encouragement, Fran!! You're so supportive. I think I need to do some 'soul-searching' and get my butt in gear for an active healthy summer. I need to get better at prepping healthy foods in advance, getting into a regular exercise schedule, etc. I have been trying to 'wing it', but I just can't do that with…

Belle - congrats on reaching this month's goal!! Fran - you're headed in the right direction. I'm proud of you for not giving up! I am constantly struggling. I am tired this week  , and seem to eating non-stop. Some of it is healthy, some of it is definitely not. Anyone have any psychological tips for staying…

Update May 22: Back down to 145 today. Phew! Hopefully I can keep it off and lose more by Friday, which is official weigh-in day!

Ok, this is where it's tough to stay on track. Keep up the workouts, don't overindulge too much this weekend, and next week, hopefully you'll see a big loss!
-
@Usborne, what kind of exercises did your trainer have you doing?
-
@sisternight - Congrats and welcome to ONE-derland!!! Three cheers to you! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

@Usborne, you may have noticed now that the "Part 2" version of the topic is listed in your My Topics after you post to it. To get to it for the first time, the easiest way is to go to the end of the first topic to click the continuation link. And thanks for the 'mentally ill' comment - it made me laugh! I have PCOS too -…

@Belle - I think I should be doing the same. I had two, not just one, but two people assume I was pregnant on Monday. Just when you think you're making progress, too. :grumble: Anyway, don't know if it's wearing clothes that are now getting too big for me; or if I'm losing everywhere but my belly which makes it stick out…

Hi all, I am down 1 pound this month, but will wait until Friday to post my official weigh-in. I have been walking daily since Sunday, and spending a lot more time planning and preparing my meals which means I am eating pretty much no processed carby foods, and a lot more meat/fish and veggies. My girls have been sick this…

April ended up as a maintenance month for me. Better than a gain, but disappointed in myself. :grumble: SW May 1: 146GW May 31: 141 Today's peek at the scale was actually higher than my May 1 weigh-in, but that's due to my poor eating choices and extra salt yesterday! I'll drink lots of water and cut back on processed…

April 1: 146 April 6: 145 (-1 pound) April 12: 143 (-2 pounds) April 27: 147 (+4 pounds) May 1: 146 (-1 pound) For a month-end final weight loss of (...drum roll, please...): a big fat ZERO! Shame on me. Next month I need to get my butt in gear...

Great job, Belle!!! I get all weird when I get to new lows - how do you stay on track? I'm more or less on track to gain 5 pounds this month, instead of lose...

In Canada, the TF bring a toonie ($2 coin), or two loonies (2 $1 coins). My daughter liked it better when she got 2 coins (even though the value is the same), so next time I may ask TF to bring quarters or better yet, pennies!
