    8th May 146 lost 1lb but put it back on.

    Didn't post yesterday due to the Bank Holiday, but hoping to lose and keep it off next week.

    Need to be careful and maybe up the exercise and watch the snacking!

    Hi all,

    I am down 1 pound this month, but will wait until Friday to post my official weigh-in. I have been walking daily since Sunday, and spending a lot more time planning and preparing my meals which means I am eating pretty much no processed carby foods, and a lot more meat/fish and veggies. My girls have been sick this week, so I'm struggling with being more tired from having to get up with them at night to deal with their coughing fits...

    @Belle - I think I should be doing the same. I had two, not just one, but two people assume I was pregnant on Monday. Just when you think you're making progress, too. :grumble: Anyway, don't know if it's wearing clothes that are now getting too big for me; or if I'm losing everywhere but my belly which makes it stick out more? Whatever it is, it's not nice. :cry:

    I'm a little late, but can I join too? I made -5lbs in May my goal as well, and I'd really like to stick to it!

    SW= 155.4- May 2nd
    CW= 152.0- May 9th

    Goal weight for May= 150

    I'm on the way! I've lost 3.4lbs over the past week! I think most of it was water weight, but I'm happy about the loss regardless :-)

    @dmgaloha - I have pcos which gives me a real apple shape. I got the pregnant assumption on Sunday, but I am a 55yo grandmother! But the dear that assumed is really struggling with alzheimers, so I easily forgave her. Usually the ones who make that comment are seriously mentally ill (I work in a psych hospital) - so my take is anyone who asks that is seriously mentally ill!

    @Usborne, you may have noticed now that the "Part 2" version of the topic is listed in your My Topics after you post to it. To get to it for the first time, the easiest way is to go to the end of the first topic to click the continuation link. And thanks for the 'mentally ill' comment - it made me laugh! I have PCOS too - total apple! Any tips on losing from the belly would be greatly appreciated!

    I had a top on the other day too that was 'hanging off me' and I looked pregnant so that went straight in the charity bag!!!! Last thing I want now is for people to start thinking I am pregnant! I am the same as you ... losing weight everywhere except my belly! I know you cannot spot reduce but if you could I so would.

    Well done on your loss this week. Hope the girls are feeling better too.

    Ah - I didn't see the continuation link! Thanks.

    As to losing the belly, I have the best shape now in a long time due to working with my trainer on core strength and abdominal shaping. She's on maternity leave right now, so will be getting back to it soon.
