I just try to cut out any added sugars in everything I buy. I am not opposed to natural sugar in fruit, but I really try to stay away from any processed food with any form of sugar added. This eliminate most candy, baked goods and other stuff, but then I get to focused on eating whole, natural foods. The complex sugars are…

I am going on Week 2 of Phase 1 - all other diets have failed me when I stop counting calories. SB seems much better in that counting is not required and I don't feel hungry (a first on a diet for me!!!). My wife and I both started together, so much easier to plan meals and have my own personal support system :-) Anyone…

I have 1 oz (28 grams) of dark chocolate (72%) 3-4 times a week and seems to do the trick for my chocolate cravings. I almost always have with almonds, so ups the calories, but gives lots of very filling protein.

From purely a weight loss standpoint, lower calories is best - so vodka and soda (not tonic/quinine), scotch on the rocks, etc...will be lowest cal options...other wise light beer or white wine. Don't do anything like Baileys or mixed juice drinks. I would ragther eat than drink, but my wife likes her fermented grapes…

kinda stuck...i have been eating more, but also exercising....feeling better, but weight loss has definitley slowed...hopefully just another plateau

Our bodies also get more efficient - eating less food (volume) means it stays in your digestive system longer, longer chance for the body to extract nutrients...just a theory, but i have noticed that my weight loss is less now (also probably because I am carrying arounf fewer pounds)

^^^^Very well said - small steps. A journey of a 1,000 miles begins with one step, right? In addition, Ed Davenport's post is truly amazing - if he can do it,I think anyone can make progress if they want to. But the key is, you have to want to do it - no one can force you. All the best.
