Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Everytime I've tried to diet/exercise, Ive been extremely successful. Last year, I lost 35 lbs (I gained them all back)... But heres the thing.. I learned so much every time that this time, I'm not dieting... I'm changing?
I don't like the same foods I used to like, I don't enjoy eating fast foods and garbage. Don't get me wrong, I will occassionally indulge, but I don't see anything wrong with that.
I'm wanting to do this for life, so I don't think its such a bad thing that if I decide I want a GD hamburger and fries, I'll go get it. And I'm probably not going to do any extra exercises either.
I want to keep to my routine, I don't want to punish myself for indulging, I want to reward myself for doing well! So in a way, I know what the end result is.. For the first time in the history of my life, I know exactly what is going to happen in the next few months. I'm not just changing my eating habits or my routine, I'm changing my attitude and putting tons of things into perspective.

I have been yo-yo with weight for years. Every previous time I went backl to eating like I always did after losing weigh, as I have gottten older, the weigh comes back more quickly. I am definitley not on a"diet" this time - I have change my attitude and my realtion to food. Food is not the problem, we are, but you can't beat yourself up over it. Just acknowledge that we are human and wired to overindulge if we don't let our brains do the driving.0

I know exactly what you mean. Last year, when I lost it, I lost 35 lbs in 3.5 months. I gained it back in the same EXACT amount of time. I used to be able to plateau while eating garbage which is why I didn't care, but after seeing how many calories are in some of the foods I was eating, I'm just like "WELL DUH, silly heffer, you just ate 2 quesadillas, 1 chalupa and some cheesy fiesta potatos and washed it down with a costco sized MTN Dew!"0 -
