  • Hips and butt, then face, then my waist, the. My boobs. I hate being an inverted triangle. :(. When I first start, I lose about an inch everywhere then weight starts falling off my hips. :(
  • Generally, 3-5 pounds for me. It's usually the week before though. This time around I haven't gained yet. I guess it's a lucky month.
  • I use both sweet potatoes and white depending on my mood. I was the potato, slice them into wedges/thin fries, drizzle a little olive oil, sprinkle with rosemary and garlic. I bake them at 400-425. So good!
  • Not unless I'm doing the Time Warp while cooking. I don't log any cleaning, bathing, cooking or basically "maintenance" type stuff in my log.
  • The app for my phone saves me! I make a lot of stuff from scratch too throughout the week and I put the ingredients and number of servings and it will tell me calories per serving. Plus if I eat anything from a package I can just scan the barcode and the information will be brought up. I also take 1 day a week off. It…
  • I went a little crazy with soda this week. I just really like the carbonation. I also need to focus on getting some more protein in my diet.
  • Complete RAGBRAI this year, eat healthier and make a transition into a healthier, happier me. The weight loss is nice, and I'd like to get down to a healthy weight, but for me, it's mostly about the journey there.

  • Bit behind, but just finished day 3! I already feel stronger than I did on day 1 and am able to push through most of it but those darn bicycle crunches!

  • Feeling stronger during workouts, feeling my clothing getting looser, thinking up fun ways to sneak in vegetables.
  • Chicken enchilada, rice and a sopapilla with iced tea with stevia. Not even going to pretend it was healthy, but I LOVE Mexican food and rarely eat it anymore. :(
  • When I was younger I put ketchup on everything. One of my favorites was burnt crispy bacon, ketchup on wheat bread. In a pinch just ketchup on bread would work. Or ketchup and mashed potatoes or white rice. I also love garlic tobasco on fresh hot cheese pizza. Heaven!
  • A bit of both. He helps me make healthier food choices and encourages me to cook more instead of going out. He's my running and cycling partner. That said, he'll look at me sometimes and say "don't lose too much, I like your belly can you keep some of it? Don't lose your butt!". It's nice to know he loves me as I am, but I…
  • I substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream too. I'm a huge chip and dip fiend and onion dip is my downfall. What I do is mix half a packet of onion dip into an individual container. I either eat it with baked potato chips or oven bake my own. It's so good! I also use it in smoothies. I haven't tried the flavored yet...
  • Big one is buying a new swimsuit. I think half way done, I may treat myself to get my eyebrows threaded or something small.

  • If it's less than an hour of hard cardio, then empty stomach it is. Especially in the morning. For longer bike rides (20+ miles for me) and day hikes I fuel up before going out. Nothing worse than running on empty halfway through. That's just me, though. Everyone is different.
  • I just started tonight. My arms are still a little shaky. Feel free to add me. I need the motivation! :drinker:
  • My mom battled a rare form of brain cancer before I was born. She went into remission, but it came back when I was around 2 or 3. She died when I was 6. By the time I ccould talk, she couldn't say anything. I remember going to visit her and reading to her. It's weird because I never really knew her, but I always feel like…
  • I started 1 day late :x but im glad I started! I was on the fence about this for a long time, but I had a blast! I don't think Jillian is too tough. She's very motivating to me. Good luck all! I have before pics and I'll take day 15 pics and 30 day too. :flowerforyou:

  • I do a cheat day once a week and it is the same day my boyfriend and I do our date night. It's more like a meal because I always make sure breakfast is something good (green smoothie or something high protein). I don't track and I don't feel guilty. I'm pretty Strict about the rest of the week though, but I don't feel…
  • Popcorn or a glass of chocolate milk, depending on whether I'm going to work out or not.
  • For straight up fitness, Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 is awesome. I personally love Dance Central 2 as I can make a playlist and dance to that. I tried the Zumba! Fitness Rush game and it was fun also. Depends in your style and if you want a traditional work out or something else.
  • 1. My Nike+ sensor-I use it when I run or walk 2. My new bicycle that inspired me to want to train for RAGBRAI this year 3. X-box Kinect and dance games. This is what got me moving and I still like to use it when I'm not outside playing. :)
  • I take a break from logging once a week. It works for me since it's my rest day from exercise and I like to cheat a bit on that day too. For me it works because I'm learning to watch my portions and not eat when I'm not hungry. Even on my lax days I've notice I don't go crazy like I would have a couple months ago. When I'm…
  • I love eggs once or twice a week, usually on weekends. I scramble one egg with cheese and ham. I figure as long as it's not every day, it's fine.

  • I was like that yesterday! It sucks, but I don't get too down about it. I just try and make sure that what I'm eating isn't too horrible and that I only eat one serving of it.
  • Inches and exercise goals. I started couch to 5k and pretty soon I'll start commuting by bicycle to class and doing longer rides. My hope is that I can get a little further and a little stronger each week. I'm trying to quit weighing myself every day and do it once a week, so going by what my body can do makes me feel…
  • I ate hummus for lunch today, lol. I love original hummus, but my favorites are roasted red bell pepper and cilantro and jalapeño hummus, so amazing. I used to be weirded out by it, then I tried it, fell in love with it and eat it pretty frequently.

  • I love carbs, loooooove them. Problem is, if I eat too many and not enough protein and fat with them, I get hungry and cranky a couple hours later! I treat myself to pasta or a bread thing once a day, but always pair it with fat and protein. This week seems to be hard since I'm not in school, soda bread is being sold…
  • Find something you like to do! Or focus on how you feel after working out. I dislike running, I'm still new at it, I'm slow, I'm overweight. But the feeling I get after finishing my workout makes it all worth it. I love to dance too so I try and dance on the Kinect at least once a week. Just get out there and try a bunch…
  • I run on trails where there aren't as many people. Also if you could find a running buddy that may make you feel more secure. I run with my boyfriend and we're both pretty shy about being seen running slowly, but he's a great support and it's fun to jog and talk with someone.
