Excellent work bro! keep up the great work and do what's healthy. I'm thinking she will come around. By her saying that perhaps it is her conscience thinking she wants to do something and coming out the negative way towards you.

I'm active on MFP for about 2 years now but not many friends connected. I decided I'm open to anyone who wants to be dedicated here. I'm very active with all my connections on a daily basis. Feel free to invite me. -Wes

I always make eye contact with EVERYONE at the gym! I love making friends and encouraging.

I am on week 3 of a very "same thing" 12 week program that culminates in an amateur body building show held and monitored through my gym. I'm glad to share and encourage.

Agreed... with many above. Start doing some weights to a basic starting program. The muscles used after weight sessions will continue to "feed" on residual body reserve throughout the day and night. Weight lifting is more essential than cardio for losing weight but the cardio is needed for circulation and respiratory…

I try to drink a green tea around mid afternoon and another in the evening.

40+ group, wow! What an august group?! Lot's of great stories here. I'm minus the cool tho :-(

Does not bother me....but I am a patient person. I also like to talk and gym rat talk in the gym also to keep energy up. I do that when resting when I can with those around me.

No. I just want to ensure I get ample water. Water is in nearly everything anyway.

The pleasant bliss of the work office. Ha!

I am just starting Atkins myself. My dad has been very successful with it over the last 10 years and I am doing it now to help me get to my next fitness level.

It is a locker room. It is what it is. Many individuals from different backgrounds at a captured time and space moment passing through. I grew up with constant locker room use so I have no issues - other than not being courteous and not having good hygeine . On the other hand, if you got it....flaunt it! Haha!

My "no shave month" is in couple months during Manuary.

I live in a colder region too (New Hampshire). I know it can be harder to be active in the cold dark months. However, I make sure I use my gym membership daily. Also, I try to just bundle up and do as many activities outside as possible.

$78 a month for me. However, that price includes full unlimited access to all weight and cardio machines and free weights, fitness classes, yoga classes, swimming pools, hot tub, sauna and steam rooms.

I am currently in the midst of my goals of a large weight loss but I am also trying to increase my performance on my new found hobby of triathlons...just 3 years into it now. I am training for an Ironman as my big goal for next year. I have a half marathon next month. I currently have my daily nutrition as…

It has been said already above, but my first thought to the topic was "Battle Scars". No problem with me at all. Actually, they are inspiring to me.

Hmmmm....tough! 34

Too Funny! And all correct from what I have observed as well. After reading this, I must admit that I must be a runner. BTW...I hate running!
-
I do not use one but perhaps I should. I do use a blinking red reflector light button on my running visor.

About 2 days for me...but I also noticed that it depends on what the cheat meal included. Overeating on good carbs and proteins and fats have less effects than high donuts or pizza and such. Drinking extra water than normal does help the recovery back!

Fortunately, I have no bad experiences on MFP after several years of on and off use. However, I am choosy on my friend selection. I have had nothing but positive experience with this site. I am more active on Bodybuilding.com and Trainingpeaks.com but I love this site for the diet management. Wes

Ok, wierd, I still can't use Nike+ unfortunately with my iphone. I do not have enough GPS signal strength with it. All my other tracking apps work fine though. I may try Runkeeper but I do like Runtastic also.
-
Ok, let me check the Nike+ app with my iphone tonight. Last time I tried it on an earlier app version I had issues. I will let you know. If it works, I'll use it with you.
-
Hi, I use Runtastic. I also have Nike+ but have not used it much. I am willing to use it for support as well if others use it more than Runtastic. Wes

It is fun to read about everyone here. My name is Wes. I am a husband of 21 years with my wife and we have two sons 14 and 16. hard to believe one is now driving. I am 44 years old and I started my health turn-a-round when I turned 41. The picture of my 41st birthday eating cake in my profile was the start. I decided I…
