^^this I have texture issues with most veggies (I can eat broccoli, corn, and carrots; everything else is off limits as they make me gag) which is why I don't eat veggies. I should eat more though of what I can tolerate...it's just a bad habit to break after so long.

Wish I could quit working. Sadly, in my line of work, I'd never hear the end of it. *sigh* The life of a stay at home mom is rough! lol

We live with my parents (long story short: I wanted to be a SAHM when my son was born in 2007, so my parents let us move in with them; we're still here because the economy tanked...plus we get along with my parents...they live downstairs, we live upstairs...it works). They have cable on the tvs downstairs. We do not have…

1) The doctor was in the wrong for telling her it was hospital policy, if in fact it is not. 2) Her sister (SIL?) was told the same thing a couple years ago by another doctor and delivered at the Downtown Indy hospital. I think that's odd that if this is the case, her sister didn't bring it up to anyone other than family.…

The majority of the time it's him. It's rare that I initiate.

I think around 3500-5000. The day I went that high, I didn't log everything. >_<

Presh...that's another one I dislike seeing. And I see it all the time on twitter...combined with totes. *GAG*

^^This!! Along with "That awkward moment when..." what exactly does that mean? The other one I really dislike is "My bad." When I was a kid/teenager I said "sorry...my mistake" or something along those lines. "My bad" is plain awful!

Congratulations! Fantastic job!!

My husband said he heard somewhere recently (not sure where, so no flaming me if it's not right) that setting the incline on a treadmill to a 1 or 1.5 is comparable to walking outside on often uneven pavement. *shrugs* So, maybe that's the same with running. I don't know. I set my incline to 1.5-2.5 because I feel I get a…

Inactivity with myself. Or if they haven't logged on in more than a week or two without reason.

This! :) ETA: After seeing the pic of men someone posted, I think anywhere from 10% to 25%

Way to go!! 16...That's what size I hope to be in by next winter. :)

There are many people commenting with very valid points. Personally, I wouldn't even THINK about it if you plan on having more children. No good could come of doing something just to make yourself feel sexier/better about yourself NOW. I would think a good plastic surgeon would question if you're done having kids before…

Great post!! Like you, I find it more horrifying to see women wearing jeans that give them a HORRIFYING muffin top. Sometimes I wonder about the women like this mom who wrote the post...she's in her 20's still...so...as far as the attitude goes for her (and her circle of friends) to be horrified by mom jeans, it makes…

This!! ^^^^ Just saw this after posting mine. But, I couldn't have said it any better!

I don't want to lie to myself, so why would I lie to my MFP friends? However, I record my calories for me (diary is only viewable by myself)...not anyone else. If I'm not losing weight, all I have to do is look back at my diary and see why.

Haha. I don't know what it's like to go out on a Friday night. Never was a drinker/partier before I had my son...and still not a drinker/partier now.

This. Exactly. I'm really just looking forward to feeling comfortable in my own skin...and not walking past a mirror thinking "God...what a COW I've become!"

First of all, use only one scale for consistency (as someone else already stated). Second, I ALWAYS weigh myself in the morning after a potty stop, and before breakfast. My scale tends to be a little finicky, so I always weigh myself 3 times in a row...most of the time at least 2 of those weights are the same and I go with…

Ironically, my weight is coming off in my tummy and lower abdomen area first. I figured I wouldn't lose there until later in my journey. But, 10 pounds down and I can tell by the way my shirts and pants fit that my tummy and lower abs are seeing the most loss so far.

I'm in! :) SW: 271.2 CW: 261.2 (I actually weigh in on Saturday's...so will just use each of those weigh in's every Monday) GW: 255 (I think I can lose 6.2 this month). ^_^ 10/1: 261.2 10/8: 10/15: 10/22: 10/29

I lose more when I DON'T eat back the calories earned from exercise. I do have days where I do eat at least some of my exercise calories back, but I do try not to eat ALL of them back on those days. While you CAN eat those calories back, it won't get you to your weight loss goal as quickly. Plus, from what I have come to…

^^ This. I'm planning on hitting Walmart, Target, Kohls...anywhere inexpensive for inbetween pants/clothes that I know I won't wear too very long since I still have quite a bit to lose. :)

^^ Me too. FWIW, I don't believe my feet got bigger while pregnant or even after having my son. I always thought I wore an 8w or 8.5w (depending on shoe style). Well, I needed new shoes last summer so went to a running store to be measured properly and found I am actually in a 7.5W. I was not dieting and had not yet…

I have a couple friends on Facebook that geocache...and enjoy it. But what exactly is it?

YES! It is true! When my mom cooked Thanksgiving dinner one year, she accidentally put it in the over upside down. But holy cow was the breast meat juicy and tender! :)

I'm currently on my journey to the lifestyle change. And my trigger really clicked the end of July when we lost a very dear great uncle (on my mom's side) at 58 years old due to cancer that they caught WAY too late. That got me thinking that I need to change myself...change my life. I have an (almost) 5 year old son. He is…

ROFLMAO!!! So...I've been doing this whole freaking MFP calorie counting thing WRONG?!? Gosh. I'm such an idiot. ;)

I'm not the only one! I want to run as well. But I'm not quite there yet (at least I don't feel I'm ready to yet). I see the women working with the trainer at my gym and she has them run 3 minutes on the treadmill...and I think to myself every time "that WILL be me some day". :) My goal is to start C25k the 1st of the year.
