Wow. I love how you put that: "It may be 80% diet, and 20% exercise, but it’s 100% mental" Thank you, and congrats!!

VERY much appreciate your story. I have my own journey, but not as severe as what you are in. I'm going to send your testimony to my brother, who is 35, well over 300#, struggled with weight his whole life, and depressed about it. When I lost my weight (only 40#) people started saying "You need to quit losing weight" or,…

First of all, CONGRATS! We've been watching "Biggest Loser" and it's amazing what a struggle a lifestyle change can be. I am 40 and tomorrow, I will log 365 days in a row on MFP. I've lost the weight I wanted to (40 pounds), but now I'm almost more scared of being able to maintain. When the weight first starts coming off,…

Berry: Sorry, I said I would post, but we've been on vacation - just now home and back to a computer. I've been logging food and exercise off my phone. I promise, once I get photos developed from vacation I will post....even though our vacation was a bit hard on my waistline! ;)

(Quoted): "Anywho, if I was talking about my 18th birthday in 2011 this is what I would've said: "When I turn 18, I'm gonna go to the gas station and buy my first pack of smokes and a lotto ticket. Then, I'm gonna pick out a tattoo and head over to the tattoo shop. YES!!!!" But after I've joined MFP, my whole outlook has…

Berry: Aqua Blast is basically a water aerobics class, usually using styrofoam "dumbbells" or buoys that serve as resistance doing curls, jumping jacks, etc. The intensity depends on the instructor...sometimes it's geared for ladies who don't want to get their hair wet. Usually, you can modify each exercise to your needed…

Well, since we're posting early: I'll post me after the YMCA Aqua Blast class yesterday. Buoys gave me red armpits LOL! No six pack, but much more in shape than I was 3 months ago!

May God Bless you where you are planted. My advice for what it's worth: Track calories daily - and don't try to eat too few...this will only last temporarily. Exercise regularly. Get enough sleep. Drink water. Seek support (at home, at your YMCA, at Church, on MFP). I pray God grant you the ability and desire to lose the…
