Try this workout using a Hack Squat machine: Take half of your max squat and do 10 sets of 5. Add an additional 2.5 lbs to each side every time you do the workout; shoot for 3 time a week. It supposed to be a 1 month program and it will kick your *kitten* the first week or so. If this doesn't make you sore, nothing will.

As long as you use the same scale every time it doesn't really matter if there's a difference. Just weigh at the same time of day in the same clothes and your losses will be pretty accurate.
