  • I use it. I used to find it was an excellent app, but just lately, it won't sync with MFP - is yours syncing ok?
  • Yep. I put mine on mapmywalk, so it tells me how far and fast, with an idea of calories.
  • I have the odd cheat day. I look on this as a lifestyle choice now, and there is no way I am living on salad for the rest of my life (ok, exaggeration, but you know what I mean). If I go over one day, I exercise a bit more and eat a bit less the following day (or before, if it's planned). For example, I had pizza and beer…
  • Very few fr on here, a few more on fb, but more often just odd messages in the 'other' message folder. Skype is where I get all the odd 'never heard of 'em' fr. Easily 4 or 5 every evening. I have boobs, but not in my profile pics :)
  • I often do a two hour walk, over the mountains where I live. I log it as hiking on MapMyWalk, and usually move at around 5km per hour (sometimes a bit faster). I usually do around 2 hours, and it logs at around 1000 to 1300 burned. A good half of it is uphill, steep gradients, and I don't slow down much for that. I rarely…
  • I was a 38B, measured, 10 years ago...the weight piled on, and, although I still crammed them into the same size bra, I suspect I was nearer a 40B/C. Those bras were full to over-flowing!! Having gone down from a UK 20 to a UK 14, I measured again - 38B! However, they do look a little sad - not big n bouncy like they were…
  • I finished the shred last weekend...I still can't do more than 4 consecutive pushups - I can do the modified ones she suggests, but like somebody above said, they don't really seem to help train to do 'real ones'. I will try doing them against the wall this time round. On Monday, I started the lose fat increase metabolism…
  • Before - about 19 months ago, around 96kg https://www.dropbox.com/s/nsq2w8o290kzaz1/IMG_4319.jpg Monday this week - around 77kg https://www.dropbox.com/s/07rrhbiwaykwb9q/2014-05-17%2009.57.58.jpg Still a little bit to go, but all in all, I'm happy with how things are :)
  • I use Mapmywalk too...I upgraded at the weekend, and the design has changed a bit ( I thought it had stopped working, when I first went to use it!). Anyway, I am on version 3.03, and it's saving my workouts just fine...but I am still learning my way around the new set up :)
  • Thanks guys. Some valid points here. Feeling less meh today, and you know what - I think I look pretty good today too. SO chuffed that I can get into a pair of 44 skinnies - and still be able to walk !! lol !(that's a UK 14 - a US10, I believe). Been a long time coming. I think he may feel a little jealous of the weight…
  • I have lost about 18kg in total, over the last 18 months (some before joining MFP. You have a similar day to me - except I go for 10k hikes, instead of running, and I have my main meal at lunchtime (it's a French thing I think - main meals were always evening, when I lived in the UK), and soup or salad for dinner. My…
  • lol, that sounds like me :) At gigs, I rarely notice anything other than the stage :)
  • Add me too - all of you, if you wish. I started level 2 yesterday. Level 1 was ok - ached for the first couple of days, but pushed through it. I don't ache now, but I am struggling with level 2 - anything resembling push-up type moves, and I'm hopeless! :/
  • I am wearing a pair of jeans at the moment, that back in January, when I visited family in the uk, were tight - as in I had to suck in to do them up. Today, they are loose - not so loose I can take them down without undoing them, but I can grab a handful of material on each thigh, and if I want to, I can put my fist in the…
  • I make chocolate mousse, using a large bar of dark chocolate and 6 eggs - this makes 8 smallish very chocolatey desserts - at only 59 calories each!! Certainly enough to satisfy my chocolate urges!! ;) (I actually think they are perfectly sized, but my other half thinks they are way too small lol) Anyway, if you want to…
  • Fantastic!! Well done you! You look fab - did you do anything special to lose?. I have a before picture ( the one that made me realise I had piled on the pounds), and I think my daughter has an 'after' on her phone - will grab it off her and whip them up here. I have also just started the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, so…
  • I think changing the workout program probably helps keep it going...I haven't really hit a proper plateau yet - I have had the odd week or so, where I haven't lost any or even gained, but it's more because i have eaten more or exercised less..if and when it happens to me, I will just change my workout routine..hopefully,…
  • That's fantastic!! Mine is in the post, off to Italy next week, but when I get back, I am shredding ;) Was it really tough?
  • Hi, feel free to add me. I have lost 38 lbs, 10 to go, to hit my target. I have a very un-supportive partner when it comes to weight loss (as in actively discourages me), so could use any support going!! ;) English, living in France
  • Well done - you are on the right track ! You know what your traps are, so the trick is to work round them..the idea of smaller meals more often, is pretty good - for me, I keep a bag of carrots, washed and ready, in the fridge - if I feel hungry, I munch on one...another one, perhaps more for the summer? is frozen grapes -…
  • This advice should be the first thing everybody hears, when they decide to start losing weight! If you find it too hard, or your goal is too big, you are more likely to give up! Keep it up - one pebble at a time ;)
  • From the uk, now living in France, but I log in everyday...would love to speak to UK peeps x:smile: javascript:add_smiley('smile','post_body')
