Ground flaxseed and hot water make a great cereal. Add in Banana or other fruit. Greek Yoghurt with crushed ricecakes for crunch. Ricecakes with grass-fed beef patty on top. Corn tortilla with meat and a dash of Greek yoghurt and sauteed veggies wrapped up. Corn muffin topped with sausage (be sure it is gluten free) and…

There is a book written by an MD in both Neurology and Nutrition called Grain Brain. You might want to pick it up for a quick read. Some interesting studies were cited and I have plans to investigate the studies cited to see the actual research.

I can't do a Tuesday night. I work very early in the mornings. I was thinking of a Friday night or a Saturday night.

I am not an advocate of surgery. Having said that, it can't hurt to go and hear what they have to say. I have lost 70 pounds through a lifestyle change which included exercise and calorie management, and understanding to which foods my body reacts negatively. If you want some more specific feedback, you would need to open…

There is a North side bar called Smart Bar that has gotten some good reviews. Let me know if and which saturday night you would be interested in…

Skating is wonderful exercise. I have really slimmed down from it. I used to skate as a child as well, and recently went back to it. Never regretted it a moment!

I am in, but I know I will not be able to do 3555 in two days. I will try my hardest, bu I think I will have to start on Friday and work through the weekend. Any motivation is good for me though!

I gave up diet soda and I don't miss it. I used to drink 3-4 cans of diet soda everyday. I actually found that when I gave it up, my tastebuds really came alive. Everything tasted better and not "deadened". I also found that I still like to have a little bubbly so I got a soda stream and just make my own soda water with a…

A lot of the problem with our foods is that they have been sprayed with pesticides that mimic estrogen. Plastics mimic estrogen too. Our meats have been injected with hormones. So as women, we get too much estrogen in our bodies and it causes all kinds of problems including hypothyroidism. Progesterone is the balancing…

You are probably still detoxing. Stick with the plan and the cravings will lessen. I hardly have them any more and I have been Primal for 1.5 years. After the first month, the cravings should ease. It is very important to detox in the first few weeks.

That run looks great. It is in May, but early registration is through February 28th for $35.00, so if that is the activity we want for May, then we should register before then. I am in if others want to go too!

Another blog post by Mark Sisson on Mark's Daily Apple: "My advice, indeed, is different for intensive-training athletes than it is for regular folks. Let me first say that my athlete-directed advice will seem like a compromise compared to the rest of what I talk about on the blog, and that’s because, well, it is. As I…
