  • So here’s the thing with this - I’ve seen lots of people on here before, saying that their friends/coworkers notice their weight loss and act surprised, and occasionally encourage them to stop losing. Someone always says, “They’re jealous of your success! They want you to fail to feel better about themselves!” I just don’t…
  • Hi there! I used it for 6 weeks, starting in January. Dry mouth, which encouraged the very positive habit of drinking a gallon of water daily, constipation, and evening heart palpitations. I lost 30 pounds in 6 weeks and have lost 31 pounds since - I’m down 61 pounds in 6 months. I have gained and lost the same 40 pounds a…
  • I’m 5’6.5” and my starting weight was 263. I wore a size 20 in pants (U.S.) and a XXL in shirts. I’m down to 205 in almost 6 months, size 14 in pants and a Large in shirts, and down a ring size. My absolute favorite part of all of this is discovering that I don’t *really* hate wearing dresses, I just hated myself in…
  • I don’t - I have protein at every meal and I just opt for a healthy version of what I want to eat (chicken baked in breadcrumbs instead of fried, plain rice flavored with lemon juice and herbs instead of bullion). That totally gets me past the mental block of feeling denied. I also drink a gallon of water a day. THAT will…
  • Sure! If you’ll just research ‘intermittent fasting’ you can find a lot of scientifically backed info (not sites selling you powders or pills). I have a dear friend who developed diabetes, whose doctor recommended it for her. It sort or assists you pancreas in insulin modification...I’ll mess up the explanation, but…
  • You know, I’ve had much better luck if I stick to 1,400-1,500 calories for 4 or 5 days and then I throw in a 900-1,000 calorie day. I notice that I stagnate sometimes until I throw my daily ‘normal’ off. Do you experience that?
  • 56 lbs in 5 months
  • It's my pinky and ring finger; I think it's decreased blood flow because shaking my hand around (which looks super fly) helps.
  • That sounds plausible - if I flap my hands (looks as cool as it sounds) it feels better. Stretching my calves really deeply helps with foot numbness, as well as buying shoes a size big. I lace alongside my arch, not over, and that help with numbness.
  • Thanks, I appreciate the advice. MFP says I should be eating 1900 calories a day; frankly, I feel like that's a lot, even on workout days, considering how much I have to lose. Am I sabotaging myself if I eat lower?
  • Seven days. And, okay, in admitting that I can acknowledge that I seem to be impatient...but I feel like I'm doing a lot of work for zero results. Could it actually be that I'm building muscle? I mean, could it work that rapidly? I guess I had this idea that I'd slim down before I started adding muscle.
  • Thanks for chiming in! I'm eating a deficit - I stay around (or under) 1300 calories daily, and maybe twice a week I'll do either a big drop (900 calories) or eat a bit in excess (1500-1600, but I make sure it's healthy eating). As I'm quite overweight, I've been losing 2-3 pounds a week. I'm getting 7-8 hours a night of…
  • Thanks, super helpful. (That was sarcastic, much like my avatar, since you seemed to miss it)
  • I lost 35 lbs in 12 weeks; it can be done! In the meantime, buy a bathing suit with ruching (sp?); very forgiving to a rounded tummy
  • I do Zumba 4 times a week; according to multiple websites and the game itself, I burn from 200-300 calories per session. And I usually don't eat those calories; I eat like I didn't work out. Late night snacking is all I can figure it is. I also drink 100-130 ounces of water a day.
  • Yeah, I didn't figure it'd be a big deal, but the scale doesn't lie. I try and stay around 1200-1250 calories, NEVER over 1300 (unless it's my weekly cheat meal), and I really watch my sodium. I'm guessing the stagnant weight is from the snacking. Sigh. I miss food.
