  • Blood work and a dermatologist visit. I have been through this. Also had 50 mg of zinc into your diet in conjunction with your hair supplement if it doesn’t already include it. Nutritional yeast tablets are also a great source of b complex. It also could be telagin efflivium which is just the shedding cycle starting pre…
  • @DeeDee2211 Thank you for your encouragement.
  • @autumnblade75 What I mean is whole foods. My plate consists of a protein and veggie, generally some healthy fats and sometimes a grain. A bit of fruit. No refined anything. Again, this is the majority of the time. I went to NYC last month and there was no way I wasn't going to eat pizza. Pretty reluctant to explain myself…
  • @BattyKnitter What’s sad is being ganged up on over using the term “clean eating” like it’s some type of egregious phrase. I never said anyone was wrong. If I could delete this thread, I would.
  • @autumnblade75 Ok. Sodium doesn’t matter if heart failure runs in your family, sugar doesn’t mater if you run the risk for diabetes? It’s not just about weight loss.
  • @NovusDies Who is throwing around words like “slobs” I would never use that word towards anyone nor judge what someone eats. I only stated what I am doing. My whole family unit passed away in a span of 3 months from various reasons so yes, I am eating clean to protect my health and prevent diabetes per my doctors orders. I…
  • @NovusDies Is there a reason Eating clean is in quotes?? I sure hope it’s not to indicate that I am Probably not, or that it’s some vague concept that doesn’t matter. I am proud of myself for cooking meals, eating whole foods and not heating up lean cuisines. I am proud of my discipline and putting clean food in my body.…
  • @sijomial I figured it would be a inflated, thats why i don't eat back those calories. So I am still at a deficit. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @autumnblade75 If you read through my prior comments you would see the answers to your questions. I weigh everything on a scale, I don’t eat anything prepackaged, and I check the usda calorie count. I am talking about. I do not eat back exercise calories, I may increase to closer to 1300 those days or eat an extra piece of…
  • @kshama2001 Sure, that resonates. But this proves its not just “calories in, calories out” I started motivated and happy. Eating nutrient dense food usually around 1200-1300 a day. Yea, I am working put a lot because I am trying to get stronger and fit. I allowed myself 3 days off for a nyc weekend and ate pizza/ drank/…
  • @SCoil123 I am not sure how to change my approach when I am eating clean, never over 1400 a day, with a large calorie deficit and burning anywhere between 500-800 calories a week with various cardio and weight training. Nothing is changing. My measurements, my clothes, my weight. I am gaining weight.
  • I used this week as an expirment. I was extra strict. Gallon of water. Meticulous. Didn’t eat out once. Orange theory, the gym, yoga. GAINED. This makes 3 lbs in a month of a average of 800-1000 calorie deficit and continous workouts. Just about to give up.
  • @maraingerham I don't know how I feel About my trainer. He’s fun, and do get a workout but I feel i could be doing more. Definitely not “kicking my *kitten*” but is that what i need? Or slow and steady to get me where I can actually do a pushup?
  • @maraingerham How many days strength training would you recommend? That’s why I hired the trainer, to strength train, and see him 3 days a week. I am lost in the gym otherwise.
  • @maraingerham I am working with a trainer 3 times a week for 30 Minutes. I would say typical beginners strength training ( walking lunges, free weights, planks, ect.) I do gentle/ beginners vinyasa 5 days week, and cardio of some sort 6 days week ( elliptical/ neighborhood walk/ trying to learn to run) I have tried orange…
  • Ok. So overall I have lost about ten lbs, I wasnt as structured at first so this is maybe over a few months. I did take my measurements however, and they haven’t changed either. I just am 🤯
  • I’ll give it a go Starting 169.8 Easter 159.8 🙌🏻
  • @PAV8888 I am using happy scale. I have lost 4 lbs in FIVE weeks, not a few. My weight has changed two pounds during the same time of my last cycle. I have not gone low carb, I keep them on the lower end of my micros. I am just generally avoiding refined sugar, diary and starches.
  • @SusieBanyon I was concerned about the stall. Two weeks seems like a long time to see no change.
  • @TavistockToad I have lost 4 lbs in about 5 weeks @SusieBanyon I just mean “cheat” in reference to your exotic food question. These were splurge items for me. I have been trying avoid dairy and most starches as I find I get bloated.
  • @TavistockToad I am not happy, but willing to sacrifice for now. I am on a leave from work and really want to utilize this time I have to reach my goal, in a sense it is my job. @SusieBanyon I am eating very basic food. The most exotic I get is siracha or some avocado. The other day I “cheated” with a sweet potato and…
  • @TavistockToad shouldn’t my measurements be changing then? They haven’t changed at all.
  • @SusieBanyon I am using the scale for pretty much everything except for seasoning where I use measuring spoons.
  • @sardelsa measurements have been the same for a month. I feel like I am doing this for nothing. I have no social life. Not going out to bars/ dinners. I literally work out and cook/ meal prep.
  • @TavistockToad so increased exercise is hindering my weight loss? Not sure what I can do about the hormones bit.
  • @TavistockToad water weight from what? I am eating nothing processed, hardly using salt, no booze, staying well hydrated.
  • Bragg liquid aminos is great too
  • @runnergrl1982 I love mustard so much.
  • @TeaBea I am trying to lose around 35 lbs.
  • @laurenjcoop I signed up for a month of classes at OT, but wasn’t able to participate in the strength training last class because I was so sore from my PT. I’m hoping they’ll let me pause it, because it seems like I have to do one or the other for now.
