I take photos weekly and measurements monthly. It's really really shocking how different I look in some pictures even when my weight doesn't change that week or when I lost 3 pounds last month but lost over 7 inches in the month. Those things really help me keep going when the scale is not cooperating.

It might because of my job (i'm an outbreak epidemiologist) but honestly, I just go to bed. I workout in the morning and am at my desk at 9:00am and then will often work until 8pm. I take 20 or 30 minutes to just lay on my couch with my dog and something on TV and then will just go get ready for bed. I love things like…

I have made similar decisions because I have ZERO self control when it comes to M&Ms...sometimes sacrifices are made for them

Yes to no barefeet ever! I have sandals with arch supports that I wear in my house to get my steps in during the day as I work from home and will also add compression socks after my jogs when I feel my arches starting to flare.

I am!! I made my 2021 goal to run a 5k this year and this was shocking to many around me because of how bad my feet are (I have a negative arch :-1: ). Instead of doing the program to a T, I am stretching it out and am doubling every week so it's actually going to take me 18 weeks instead of the scheduled 9. This gives my…

It's midweek and I'm on day 3 of constant hunger (thanks TOM :/ ). Despite trying to avoid eating myself out of house and home, my workouts have been pretty great. I am on Week 6 of C25K and strangely enough, 2 10 minute jogs was tougher than the 20 minute jog that I did on Friday. I've been stretching out this program so…

There's a Herrs version that I am LOW key obsessed with. I dip crunchy things like Gardettos & Party Mix into it...at least 10-15 pounds of my weight gain is directly tied to canned cheese

I also get the same comments from my mother when I tell her that I ate something that she doesn't deem healthy. I keep telling her I'm either maintaining or actively losing so I'm ok with my decisions

I try do something active 6 days a week but that varies by the day. On Mon, Weds, & Friday, I am working the Couch 2 5K program and then add on about 30 minutes of weights afterwards. On Tuesdays, I do 3 miles of walking either indoors or outside with the pup. I'm actually in the office on Thursdays so it's mainly walking…

@ladychr0nic I weigh everyday and I find that I not only find it motivating but sometimes my weight will be multiple pounds lower but when it comes time to officially weigh in, I might have jumped up due to various reasons. If I was only relying on 1 data point, I'd be so unmotivated and wanting to give up. If you think…

Realized I can't edit quotes to save my life and can't delete things when needed.

Jogged all 20 minutes today! The last 6 were rough with the last 3 minutes being the hardest so far but I did it and without a break liked I had originally planned.

@girlinkaz https://www.maebells.com/peanut-butter-banana-protein-muffins This is a very similar recipe that I'll make except I'll throw in handfuls of spinach so they turn out green!

Yess! I never realized that chipped ham wasn't a thing until I moved away! Also salads with mandarin oranges and french fries!

@solieco1 I am so happy your husband is coming home My most recent NSV is that I did 2 sessions of jogging of 8 minutes which were hard but not impossible which is good because I have a 20 minute jog planned for Friday that is to be done all at once

@hap2go I make a lot of protein muffins or something similar that can satisfy my morning sweet tooth & get me through. I know a lot of folks make overnight oats but I haven't done them yet but that can also be an easy grab and go as well.
