  • I sent you a message. I lost weight during my first trimester with my son and my OB was happy with it. The biggest thing is to continue to eat healthy and not deprive your body of what it needs. If you are hungry, EAT, but make healthy choices. Easier said than done sometimes. ;)
  • Hi everyone! Great to see such a response!! So far I have just been limited processed foods, hitting 5 fruits and veggies a day and sticking to my calorie range. I will add in exercise soon. :) I am doing a biggest loser contest at work, which helped spark my motivation. My coworkers are a huge motivation. We check in with…
  • Welcome! I am newly back to it. I am just over 2 weeks in, down almost 6lb (would have been more, but my husband and I splurged on our anniversary trip). I have well over 100lb to lose. 26, mom of a 2 year old! I will add you. :)
  • Welcome!! I have well over 100lb to lose. You can do it! Congrats on making healthy changes for a week. It takes one baby step at a time. If you would like a friend, feel free to add me. :)
  • I had a left over stuffed steak roll up with raw carrots and bell peppers.
  • I am 25 years old and looking to lose 130lb or so! 8lb down so far. :) Feel free to add me, anyone! Especially if you share your food diary. I love looking for new ideas.
  • I am new, but I log pretty much daily. I missed a few days while we were out of town and I am planning on not logging Christmas Eve and Christmas. Otherwise, daily logging for me... and my diary is public. :)
  • I see you're from Buffalo! Me, too! I am so happy we have a TJs. I used to always love it when my mom lived in California. Unfortunately we don't get the wine. :( Boo. That's always a must for me. Cookie Butter. I like to mix it in their multigrain oats for breakfast! Their produce is hit or miss. I check it everytime I'm…
  • Anyone lose cup but not band? I lost 65 pounds a couple of years go and went from a solid 40 C to a 40B, which might I add is impossible to find! Now I gained weight and I'm a 42B. =/
  • I know it's not a diet plan. It's a lifestyle thing. It was a lifestyle for me for almost 2 years, but life got in the way and I just stopped caring. I can't really say why because I don't know. I started working 50+ hours a week and I was in grad school full time. I felt like I had no time to count calories and workout.…
  • Welcome! I just started TurboFire yesterday. It's intense! I did TurboJam regularly a year and a half ago, but fell off the wagon.
  • I used SparkPeople. I counted calories, worked out 5-7 days a week and allowed myself "cheat" days. It was a lifestyle thing. I ran, I used cross trainers, I took bootcamp classes, I had support from coworkers (I worked at the YMCA at the time) and I got creative in making goals for myself. I blogged and admitted my…
  • Get it all out! I couldn't agree more. I messed up my Freshman year in undergrad, then turned it all around and made it out with a 3.5 GPA. Wanted a 3.8, but so far so good in Grad School! I am glad the lightbulb clicked for me.
  • I am in the same boat, but for my first pregnancy! My husband and I will have been married for 2 years in April, together for 6 in June. We're looking at May to start trying. I won't be at my ideal weight, but I don't know if I want to wait any longer than that to start trying because we're anxious already! I had lost 60…
  • I just want to say congrats on all the hard work to all my fellow Graduate Students (past and present). With that, I am heading to bed so I can finish this paper and organize my research tomorrow!
  • Being a full time mom is more work than working full time! Kuddos to you!
  • Yeah I have a lot going on with finals coming up. YUCK. What a lot! Luckily my professor canceled our last two case write-ups. I hate them. I don't want to do psychological assessments. I only have this literature review, a grand rounds presentation w/ a paper, two (open book) exams and two reflection papers.
  • Oh good idea! And I agree. I get free time each week, but I am so exhausted that I'd rather have Glee Night with my friends and drink wine. LOL. I am getting my Master's in counseling and I start getting a caseload of clients next semester. Scary. I already have a full caseload as a case worker right now. Then in the…
  • Law school! Impressive. Do you have time to work or socialize? Legit question! I hear horror stories a lot.
  • Hahahaha! I had a bunch of people ask me to come out this weekend and I had the urge to create a meme. "Silly non-grad students. Weekends are for homework!" Its all I could think about yesterday... all the homework I have to finish this weekend. I am about to call it a night though...
  • Bahahaa. Master JennyBaby. ;) I haven't looked much into Developmental Programs... we don't have one near by. I should look into it though! I did a lot of Developmental Psych in my undergrad. I mean, the issue with getting my PhD is I'm limited. My husband and I are pretty settled and don't want to move. I mean, if a…
  • It's all the same! My sister works part time and is in her 2nd year of undergrad. She's so stressed and has no time for anything either. It's hard to find balance. People joke that college students don't have time for school, a social life and sleep... but what about work and working out!? Hahaha!
  • I feel like I'll be in school forever! I should have my Master's next December and I think I want a break to focus on my marriage and getting a job. Then maybe a PhD.
  • Neat! I am thinking about getting my PhD in Cognitive or Counseling Psych. I am really interested in attachment styles in foster children, but it's hard to find a professor to take me on. I guess I'll stick with my Masters and dream of opening a non-profit. Ahh. Ambitions.
  • It's great to see so many people on the same page. It can be so tough! Oh research papers. And finals coming up. AND GROUP WORK? Ugh. Does anyone else find group work absurd in grad school? It's exhausting trying to work around everyone's schedules!
  • Erika, what's your Thesis on?
  • Haha. I spent today doing a home visit for work, starting TurboFire and writing a Literature Review on treatment for heroin addiction. Still not done... instead I am browsing the site. I should probably clean my house, too.. but I am just so exhausted by the end of the day!
  • I totally didn't see this before I posted on your topic! Haha. Wonderful. :) Great to have someone on the same page. Life can get so overwhelming at times! I fit in my first workout in awhile today, so fingers crossed I can keep it up!
  • Same here! I once lost 60lbs and gained most (maybe all?) of it back in the past year. =/ But I am ready to do it again!
  • Another good one is these things called "Snapea Crisps." Not as nutritional as a side of veggies, but they cut my craving for chips! Pop Chips are another good alternative.
