  • Good for you!!! I did it last year - it works!!! The first minute was harder than the 5k I actually ran in October. I am so excited I can cross that off my bucket list!

  • I can so relate!!!! I lost mine for a while, but am really trying to get back on my journey. Have to remember I am in charge of where this is going and not to let anyone or anything else throw me off again!!! Good luck - stay strong!!!!
  • Mix avocado with diced or shredded chicken for a nummy chicken salad! Have not tried it with tuna or salmon, but it may be good, too. Chop cucumber, tomatoes and avocados and mix with some light ranch or light italian dressing. You can add green peppers, onions, feta and other fun stuff as well.
  • Don't be afraid, you will be amazed every time you run those extra minutes!!! High fives for starting, keep it up!!! I did the whole 9 weeks, had to make adjustments at the end, and finally did run 3.1 miles one day. Have not done the 5k race yet, it is too hot to run right now, but am planning on picking it back up again…

Potassium is supposed to help and google every calf stretch you can find and do them, both before and after you walk, jog or…
  • I too am fun sized, (5'2") but still working on the fit part! The 1200 calories is really hard for me some days, and sometimes I just go over! I have been on fitnesspal for about 35 days and didn't see any movement in the scale in the month before I was counting every calorie. It really is about what you put in your mouth!…
  • My friend and I are doing this version: http://www.fromcouchto5k.com/articles/training/the-couch-to-5k-training-plan/ We just finished week 5 today, the first 10 minutes jog. Have not missed a day and as much as I hate it, I am so exicted when we finish it. We don't just walk for 5 minutes at the beginning and end though.…
  • Sounds like you don't have enough fuel in your body for the workout. Maybe more protein and complex carbs?
