Freeze the banana in slices Use a few ice cubes, 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 cup grapes, oranges slices, or berries, a few splashes of milk and a little vanilla. Greens are a super addition too. Agreed. I also add cinnamon to mine instead of vanilla, and often a little protein powder, but otherwise should be good.

If you want gluten free, vegetarian or meat based chili is great (I add bulgur wheat to mine, but quinoa would work well too) Or you could try this millet dish http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/clean-eating-curried-millet/#more-9092 Slow cookers are great for roasting whole chickens (yes I said that), making curries, or…

Make a pot of split pea soup or lentil soup with seasonal veggies, spices, and it will be cheap and last upto a week in the fridge. You can also freeze the leftovers for a rainy day.

If you're keen on cold, then raw oats are actually quite yummy and super quick. Google "Vegan Overnight Oats" and you're find a TON of suggestions :)

Try this recipe out http://www.vancouversun.com/life/Wine+Match+Spiced+Quinoa+Sweet+Potato+Broccoli+Cranberry+Salad/8854213/story.html Pretty sure it suits all your dietary restrictions mentioned. And its delicious! I brought it to the inlaws for christmas dinner and it was a hit. I left out the asparagus bc I'm cheap, but…

LOL! we use onion, sweet peppers, lizano, and normally a tortilla but that's a bit much for a standard breakfast here....this is our homemade version of "los typicos" Here it is again with a salad on the side for lunch. Made a fresh batch again this morning and it turned out even better...

First night back from Costa Rica. Made pizzas with whatever was in my fridge/cupboards. Onion, artichoke, mushrooms, olives and nutritional yeast. Good enough! My partner learned to make gallo pinto once we got back and this was lunch today - with fried eggs and sautéed Kimchi. Could eat this every day. Christmas morning…

Spent a week chowing down on some awesome Costa Rican food - And only remembered to take ONE food picture. Most meals were devoured before there could be any photographic evidence. These are fish tacos from a surf hotel in Nosara, Costa Rica.

Killed it today. We had a big snow fall and so I stayed in and made a big pot of oven roasted chili and homemade bread from scratch. With an Oak Barrel Aged Doppelbock, of course

Tell me about it. I had Chocolate Milk Stout on Tuesday along with a few other imports from England. Delicious, but damn I want Choco-PB!!

I can't stand wasting money on pre-prepped shakes, etc. I used to live on homemade protein shakes, though - super filling when you pack them with spinach, frozen fruit, dairy, protein, and flavourings like PB or extracts. I know you don't have protein powder, but they'd be just as good without I'm sure.…

1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup egg whites, 1/3 cup cottage cheese. Tons of cinnamon. Blend into a pancake batter. Mix and let stand for 10 minuites as below and then cook. Same same.

Yea. I mean who eats breakfast for breakfast these days anyway? It's, like, so last fall. Honestly though - leftovers are an amazing, healthy way to get in some food in the morning if you aren't too picky. I went through a phase where I had rice w/ hot sauce every morning and some steamed veg for breakfast. It's all…

I would tend to agree. A steady calories intake day over day will balance out. Our bodies don't need more cals on one day vs. another to function at it's best. Some days, we're just hungrier than others, and vice versa. Keep your TDEE steady unless you are increasing your exercise overall. For maintenance, around 2200 is…

And keeping tetra packs of soy milk will definitely help the "out of milk" problem. But yea, yogurt is a great alternative to milk. It's more filling, has good protein and fat (not fat free yogurt, please) and tastes great with fruit and cereal.

I have an large piece of fruit, topped with greek yogurt, cinnamon and 1 serving of bran cereal or granola - some mornings. Other mornings, I have oats mixed with chia and oat bran, cooked in the microwave with loads of cinnamon, fruit and then topped with a drizzle of natural PB. Some mornings I have an egg + whites…

Beautiful pic, Pocketmole. As always  For breakfast I tried an omelet of roasted butternut squash, red onion and grape tomatoes with nutritional yeast and a little chili garlic and ginger paste. Pretty fantastic. Squash makes everything better.

Both of these meals look stellar. Not too sure about the pepsi, but the rest - YUM!

Today's lunch... Hummus, leftover salsa + beans, large salad, olives and a pita.
