  • 2009 Indy Mini-Marathon. It was my first half marathon and I finished in the goal time I had set for myself. I just remember the sense of accomplishment as I crossed the finish line. My wife and sister also ran it together so we had a good time after the race, too.
  • If you don't think the fitbit is accurate, you might need to calibrate your stride length on the FITBIT site. If I remember correctly it is somewhere within your profile. Also, the there is an option in the FITBIT MFP integration to allow FITBIT to decrement calories as well as add them in the event you are not as active.…
  • It is not as much a misconception as it is a perspective. I set my profile to Sedentary because I have a desk job and then I log my exercise. However some people prefer to have the initial goal set with everything already accounted for, so if they know (or at least plan) to exercise everyday, they decide to set their…

  • Don't care if you want to call her body curvy or fat. It is her face and eyes that make her beautiful.
  • I agree with counting yard work. I use a fitbit tracker and was surprised at the number of steps and calorie burn that it registered the first time I wore it while mowing (push mower) and raking.
  • I totally agree with the responses above. I hate having anything to hold, hanging from my waist or attached to me when running. The hydration stations have always been sufficient.
  • Turned 50 in the past year. Got into my best shape since high school and ran my first half marathon in my 40s.
