I'm the same way! I gain before my period, and the second I get it I lose like crazy.

Its taken me about 7 months, but I'm down 59 pounds. I started at 1.5 pounds a week, but as my calories decreased I decided it was best for me to go to 1 pound lost a week. I've still got a long journey ahead, but this site has been the best thing for me.

I actually eat at Applebees a lot. Their under 550 calorie meals aren't bad, and they are decent sized portions. Of course they have tons of sodium, but there's not one place I've gone to that was decent with sodium.

I log mine, but when I scanned the barcode it said 0 calories. I'm not sure if that's true, but I add them anyway! When I take tums I add that too, and fish oil when I take it as well. Some things like herbs and spices don't have the calories on the bottle, but I scan them and I'm shocked at how many calories some of them…

I log everything every time. Sometimes you just have bad days, or you're in a predicament where its difficult to make great choices. That doesn't mean you didn't eat! I log to not only hold myself accountable, but so that I can factor it into my week and make up for it with exercise. Plus, if it says my deficit should have…

You can add me if you want! I started logging in March, I believe tomorrow or Friday will be my 60th day of logging. I weigh-in every Friday, and logging into MFP is an addiction for me at this point! I have tons more weight to lose than you do, but I'm always looking for friends :)

How much did you set your goal to lose every week? When I put in 2 pounds of weight loss a week, MFP tells me I need to eat 1200 or so every day, but I dropped it to 1.5 pounds weight loss a week, I got to eat a whole lot more. When I cut my calories to 1200 or less for a week, I didn't just stop losing, I gained. After I upped my intake to a minimum of 1350, I lost weight, and actually 5 pounds the week after. My body is different than yours, and I certainly weigh more than you do, but that's what I noticed for me. MFP even says that going below…

This reminds me of the short story I read in an English class, I'm not sure which one. It was entitled "The Fat Girl." If you haven't read it, I definitely recommend it! Great article, thank you for sharing.
