  • I've been wondering about this myself. I hate seeing that "in 5 weeks, you will weigh..." message since I've been EM2WL. It messes with my mind! So I should really ignore it?
  • Thanks! That'll be interesting! I just changed my diary settings so that there's a snack between each meal and after dinner. That should help keep me on track as I'm not much of a snacker usually.
  • Thank you. Request sent.
  • Eeeeew!! That sounds gross in your coffee. Thanks for the recommendation and the warning!
  • Thank you for the recommendation!
  • I'm fairly new, too....nearing the end of my first week...so I'll be interested to see what others say, but my opinion is to add a snack only if you can fit it without feeling overfull tonight. Otherwise, just try to get some extra snacks in during the day tomorrow to get closer to goal. I'm finding I've been uncomfortably…
  • (this just happened to me) You realize with relief that the rice you'd originally planned to have as a side with your dinner was removed from your food diary in order to balance out the macros. I can barely muster up the appetite to eat the chicken and vegetables. Ugh. Not. Hungry. At. All.
  • Thanks! Do you recommend any particular brand of protein powder for the shake? I've been thinking of trying protein shakes, but I don't want to drop that kind of money on a yucky tasting one.
  • LOL! I'm new to this so that's exactly what I've been doing each night for the next day. I figure if I have to eat that much food (and I'm finding it really hard to eat that many calories of healthy food because I feel stuffed), I should at least try to get the macros close to my goals. :drinker:
  • I rushed my kids out of the house this morning so I could make my 9 am class at the gym. There's an ice cream shop near the gym and it was open at 10:45 this morning as we were leaving so I caved to their pressure and bought them kiddie size ice cream cones. (I, however, did NOT have one. ) In the morning. They ate…
  • Peeps aren't worth eating UNLESS they are stale!
  • I wouldn't trust it. My scale might fluctuate 0.2 if I weighed myself twice in a row, but not more than that. You should get a different scale.
  • Can't show you because I just ate it (*grin*) but I had: One whole egg and two egg whites, scrambled with a little skim milk 10 cherries Cavendish hash brown pattie International Foods French Vanilla coffee with skim milk and stevia Total of 400 cals and I'm very full - almost too full - and I haven't finished my coffee…
  • You are strong and amazing and your story is making me tear up. The cruelty of people like that is unbelievable. I'm so glad that it motivated you to exercise and continue on your weight loss journey. The alternatives are far worse. (((hugs))) Keep up the great work and just know that karma WILL come back to bit that man…
  • According to my husband, McDonald's was founded by Satan. LOL! I used to take my kids there fairly frequently and I very much enjoy their double cheeseburgers. However, he doesn't like me to and his reason is NOT that hamburgers or chicken nuggets and fries are bad for you, too high in fat or sodium or whatever. His reason…
  • My thoughts exactly! Why would you want to stop it?! You should take all the orgasms you can get. They are your reward for working hard. LOL!
  • Good advice! Thanks! I'll try that. I am not much of a snacker during the day unless I'm truly hungry. I do like an evening snack whether I'm hungry or not. :-)
  • I agree! Even on my previous 1200 calorie plan, nothing was off limits. I don't believe it cutting out particular foods altogether. You have to eat what you like and enjoy eating. I would just make sure that I exercised enough on those days I planned to indulge a little.
  • Thanks SO much! Ok...over BMR and under TDEE. I can do that. It's certainly easier than doing 1200 per day. I just had a snack and I still didn't hit my TDEE-15% for the day. I'm full, though, and I don't plan to eat any more tonight. I hit the 'complete entry' button and got that 'in 5 weeks, you will weigh...' message.…
  • That's a great outlook. I just don't want it to be wrong. It seems like one of those 'too good to be true' things and I'm always wary of those.
  • Thanks so much for the welcome. I'm just so afraid. This feels so wrong! I ate on my 1200 calorie plan for 2/3 of the day today and then had a bigger dinner with my new, higher calorie goal. After I ate the dinner I felt just gross! Too full..ick. Eating this way is how I got fat to begin with! Won't I just get fat again…
  • Wii Zumba and the Just Dance programs are nice.
  • What a great job! You have the best attitude and you are doing great things for your body and your life. Congrats! (BTW, you have such a pretty face!)
  • Thanks for all the opinions! I hadn't realized that the Fitbit was so much different than a HRM. I appreciate you all taking the time to give me your insight and experiences. :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks for the advice!
  • That's pretty awesome!!!
  • I'm mostly trying to track my calorie burn during workouts like Zumba, Zumba Toning, Boot Camp Class, and Cardio Kick/Core classes. I may also use it for running or walking workouts. However, I like that the Fitbit would give me an overall idea of the calories burned throughout the whole day.
  • I used canned ones and I make spicy black bean soup or spicy black beans and tomatoes. YUM!
