  • Not sure if anyone mentioned this (I don't feel like reading all the responses), but you can rent exercise dvds from your local library for free.
  • it depends on your goals. I am 5'5" and 127 lbs. My goal is to tone at this point so if I lose a few pounds from fat lost, great. Gaining a few pounds from muscle weight is also okay with me. That said, I have my calories set at 2000. I am currently breastfeeding so I need to take into account the 300-500 extra calories I…
  • It's good for your kids to see you exercise. Like mentioned above, have them join in. At first I didn't want to do workout DVDs with my toddler since I thought she'd get in the way. One day she woke up early from nap so I finished it with her. Now I do my main exercise in the am but I often repeat or do a different DVD at…
  • Starting it today. I started before Christmas, but with everything going on, I stopped at D6L1 the day before Christmas Eve so I have to start it over.
  • That's what I do, double up on sports bras. I wear one that's a perfect fit and one that's a little too small so that way the ladies are smooshed against by body to limit bouncing. That does the trick for me! Oh, and I'm BF so I definitely have to make sure I do it after a feeding or else there are other issues, lol.
  • I did six days of level one then Christmas happened so yeah. Two week break is long enough. Starting D1L1 today!

  • I spend an average of $120-150 a month (including non food) for two adults and toddler (I'm EBF so baby doesn't count). I shop at Aldi's and Hannaford. Probably 50% of the food I buy is organic. Like mentioned above, we have a garden that we eat out of all Summer and in the fall, we store as much of the veggies as we can.…
  • I'm not a single parent, but I do work out in the morning before work and before the kiddos wake up. The reason for this is that when I get home from work, I clean and cook and spend the rest of the night hanging out with the kiddos so by the time they go to bed, I'm ready for bed myself. I sometime do extra exercise DVDs…
  • I want to join. I'll set my goal at 75 miles since I'm a newbie and I'm not sure if this is a correct goal for me (we'll see). I'm a mommy to a 3 month old and a toddler who works full time so it's hard to judge what I can do. I hope this goal is not too big for me. I guess we'll see soon enough!
  • It was either $1.29 or $1.39 yesterday at Aldi's (can't remember which one was for cauliflower and which was for broccoli).
  • $200 in upstate NY (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby, 1 dog and 1 cat). This includes everything (toiletries, dog/cat food and our food), but I bf and use cloth diapers, make my own cleaning supplies and cook from scratch. I buy in season veggies and fruits. Oh, and we raise our own pigs (which end up being free since we do a…
  • Yeah, I'm only doing it for 2 months to see if I can see improvements (which I think I already do), after that, I'm going to introduce one thing at a time to see which it is (I have a hunch it's dairy, but it also could be wheat and maybe even eggs). Hopefully it's just one category and not a combination. I'd rather find…
  • I'm loving all these, they sound so good! I didn't even think shepherd's pie!!
  • Mmmm, that does sound good! Thanks rgauthier!
  • Why did I get a flag for this post?
  • Thank you so much for your help. Yeah, I figured a lot of soups in my future (good thing I live in a cold climate). I haven't talked with my ped about it, but I'm a nurse so I'm familiar with what to do (he doesn't have an apt until a couple of weeks from now). I can definitely have rice. I'm just looking for some new…
  • you can friend me. I just had a baby in Sept. and I have a 2 year old toddler. I totally understand both the wanting to be healthier and the challenges of doing it with little ones. I probably need as much motivation as you, lol.
