  • Awesome job! I'm so happy to hear you surpassed your goal! I know how you feel, i've been seeing good weight loss too, but Mardi Gras has been involving a lot of dessert and alcohol, and hopefully i haven't gained too much. I wanted to weigh in this week since i'm starting round 3 of P90x today, but i might just wait till…

  • You can check in whatever you want. If you want to post your weight loss, inches lost, go for it! If you just want to post about how much progress your seeing with your level of fitness while doing your program, post that too! Anything that keeps us updated on your progress. And also post if you're not seeing any progress…

  • How's everyone coming on their goals? As usual posting has been slacking off in this group since it's been a while, so it would be great if everyone could check in here and let us all know how you're all doing for accountability :)
  • Well for starters, 2.5 pounds of weight loss a week is quite a bit for the average person. That'll sometimes happen at first, but unless your very overweight, you most likely will not continue to lose 2.5 pounds per week for a long period of time. Also, you said you just started P90X which involves weight lifting. You…
  • So, I just wanted to check in here and see if anyone is still interested in doing this. I've been replacing a meal a day with shakeology and it gives me so much energy. I didn't believe people when they told me it would, but it doesn't weigh me down and make me feel sluggish like i usually feel after lunch. I haven't…
  • So I've found that chia seeds work sometimes as an egg alternative, but not all the time when baking and cooking. But i've discovered flax seed as a great alternative. I've been putting in in a few recipes and it works great! For one egg you just mix one tbsp of flax seed and 3 tbsp of water in a bowl and let it sit for a…

  • I'm also a college junior and vegetarian and I'm working on becoming vegan..it's a small world!! Anyone feel free to add me :)
  • Isn't that weird?! I found the same thing for me too. I lose the most weight when I eat around 1500-1600 calories a day. 1200 was counterproductive for me. To change your calorie allowance if you're on the myfitnesspal website, not the app, click on where it says "My Home", and then click on "Goals". It allows you to…
  • Sorry I haven't checked in this week yet, I did not get one minute of free time this week. So much school work, along with actual work had me swamped! I've been a vegetarian for some time and I've been trying to go vegan, so that's what I've been up to the past few weeks in terms of health and fitness! Hope everyone is…
  • Thanks so much you guys!

  • Getting enough protein was always the hardest part for me when I was counting my macros, so i hear ya! And i don't eat meat, so it was quite the challenge. Cottage cheese is a great source of protein, as is greek yogurt, eggs, nuts, low fat cheese. Those are all good sources that are low on carbs, so they'll balance your…
  • i use nutiva hemp protein powder (im not sure if thats the brand you tried, but thats the best one i've found.) The only ingredient is the hemp powder, so it doesn't have any sugar or sweetener. It has no taste and i find it dissolves well in things and I've gotten used to the awful green color of it lol. I get it off of…
  • I know! I heard so much hype about it, i finally gave in and tried it lol, but even if no one participates, ill still let yall know about results. And knra_grl, I don't do fad diets either.. i think theyre crazy. Shakeology isn't a weight loss shake, its just a meal replacement shake with a lot of nutrients, so ill have it…
  • Yayy! Awesome work you guys :)
  • I used to count my macros as well, and I got great results with it. It became very tedious, so I've kind of slacked off on it, but if you stick with it, I know you'll get great results!
  • Great job! How's everyone been doing? Activity has been dying down in the group, so i hope everyone is doing well and staying on the path to fitness! Don't forget to check in and let us know how you've been doing so we can all keep each other motivated :)
  • The Weekly Challenge for this week will be the same challenge as last week since it seems a lot of people havent gotten to do it! So when yall get to it make sure to check in so I can post a different one next week and keep everyone pushing hard and trying new things :)
  • Awesome job ladies! My P90X/Insanity hybrid is amazing. My problem area is my hips and thighs and ive been noticing my jeans fitting looser which is exactly where i've been trying to lose fat! I started my weight loss journey in a size 14/16 depending on the pants, and now I'm at the point where my size 8 is loose!…
  • Try replacing sour cream with low fat or no fat greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has a lot of protein and tastes very similar to sour cream when eaten by itself. My favorite Greek yogurt is the Fage brand with 0% fat :)
  • Time for weekly challenge #2! Diet challenge: Go meatless for at least one day this week. Exercise challenge: This week aim to fit in 50 jumping jacks, 30 minutes of walking, and 20 minutes of jogging (if its cold out or you dont have much space or a treadmill, jogging in place works too). Remember that these don't have to…
  • Great job! And the unsweetened almond milk also has half the calories of the sweetened one..which i recently noticed :) I love quinoa! Its so easy to prepare, and once i started eating it, I started using it to replace rice in my recipes that called for rice..its really versatile and one of my favorite healthy foods!
  • Awesome ladies! I've recently started using almond milk too to cut down on dairy, although it doesn't have much taste, it works well when using it in things, and it lasts longer than cow's milk!
  • Yall don't forget about the weekly challenge!! And check in when completed :)
  • Welcome to the group and to MFP! Hopefully we can motivate you and help keep you on track! Best wishes :)
  • Alright ladies, here comes the first weekly challenge! Diet challenge: Try a healthy food you've never tried before this week. Whether it be a vegetable you've never tried, something like quinoa, hummus, certain beans, etc. Try anything new thats healthy and report back to us what you thought! Exercise challenge: At least…
