My favorite is a tsp of honey, some granola, a scoop of protein powder, and some fresh strawberries or other berry. I do not like yogurt, but I've been eating it almost everyday for several weeks and I'm slowly acclimating to the taste :). I know you said no sugar or anything, I don't know if you'd count the honey in that…

I’m an accountant, so pretty sedentary. But my office is on the second floor, and I always use the stairs and make sure I go up/down several times a day. I do mini workouts everytime I go to the bathroom (squats, wall push-ups, leg lifts, kicks, etc) and my main workout time is my power walks at lunch. I was a stay at home…

My new favorite is salsa on salads instead of dressing

I once took a stray to the vet to have him checked over and came home with him plus 3 more kittens that had been abandoned. I already had 5 at home, lol.

Me! I have 5 very spoiled cats.

I'm also on 1200 cals a day at the moment. I'm based in the US, but feel free to add me

No suggestions on the cottage cheese. I used to love it with just salt & pepper, but then developed an aversion to it. But I totally understand the texture thing. I can't do meatloafs or meatballs or really thick burgers. Well, I will eat the crispy crust from a meatloaf, but not the squishy middle, lol

bumping cause I need friends :)

My belief is everything in moderation. I personally would love to cut them out altogether because I don't like consuming too much artificial sweeteners. But I do have one or two a week. I work for a company that makes soda (hey, it's a living) and we have a fridge stocked with cold drinks making the temptation just too…

I've tried several of the recipes on the site and from one of her cookbooks that I bought. My veggie-hating boys have never noticed anything different. The mac&cheese cupcakes were a big hit! I started out with small amounts and plan to keep increasing the amounts until one of them says something negative. You could also…

What are the fruits & veggies that you do like? Chili can be very healthy, depending on what ingredients you use. What I do for my kids that don’t like veggies is puree cooked veggies and add it to things like spaghetti sauce, chili, taco’s, etc. Start with very small amounts and make sure they are fully pureed so that you…

I love this idea! Think I'll try it out this week.

Hi there! I also have narcolepsy. It's not often that I "meet" other people with this condition.

We cook a lot of ground beef recipes. I use the leaner beef, at least 90% fat free. I also mix it with ground turkey or chicken, a couple of times I've mixed it with buffalo when I found some clearanced. Another thing I use is TVP (textured vegetable protein). It's a soy product, has no flavor of it's own and you can buy…

You're correct. I'm actually on my second one, had it replaced last year.

I do too. Some days I go over 1200 and I'm still starving and then other days it's all I can do to eat enough to get to 1200. Feel free to add me as a friend

I do both. I eat a snack about 30 - 45 min before, usually something like yogurt w/honey & granola, a piece of fruit, or sometimes half a slice of bread w/peanut butter. I'm always starving when I'm done so then I eat my regular lunch.

I like to use the hard cheeses like parmigiano reggiano or asiago, as well as sharp cheddar or colby because they have strong flavors and a little goes a long way. Fresh mozzerella is really good also and you only need a small quantity. My theory is that I would much rather use a moderate amount of great-tasting cheese…

We call that "Fen-Fer", as in fen fer yerself, lol

This is what I do, also. Normal everyday stuff, I don't count. But I will count it if I have a heavy duty weekend of cleaning or if I'm preparing a meal that involves a lot of movement (like when I grill out because I end up running back and forth between the kitchen and the patio a zillion times).

I’ve had a mirena for 6 years now and love it! I did gain weight after it was inserted, but I’m not sure the mirena is to blame. I had a pretty drastic lifestyle change around that time where I went from high activity and fairly healthy eating to virtually no activity and very un-healthy eating. I went from having a period…

This is an awesome idea! I love Grippos. They're the only chips I'll eat, but find there's too many calories in just a few chips. I'll have to give this a try.
