  • To have gained 1lb in FAT you would have had to have eaten 3500 calories on top of your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), so 2lbs of FAT would be 7000 as well as your TDEE, if not it is water etc. Please search for posts In Place of a Road Map and How to Lose Weight Correctly, they both hold a good amount of…
  • air popped popcorn, I bought a cheap machine from Amazon and you don't need to add fat the corns pop with the heat, its low calorie done that way and nutritious
  • Hi, please add me if you like, I am active on here every day and like to think I give support to my friends and of course I believe in the EM2WL principles, it is so shocking to see how little some people eat so I am trying to surround myself with like-minded people who actually eat sensibly to lose their weight. Good luck…
  • Thanks Stef that explains things. This last month I had horrendous cramps and my pms symptoms were much worse than previously and I just thought it was my age but now I am thinking it is perhaps my weight loss not helping. Will try some evening primrose as well I think. Thanks for starting this topic, I thought it was just…
  • Hi everyone, think I am in this category even though am regular as clockwork every 28 days still at 46. Have noticed I am getting very emotional and this month was probably my worse for pms symptoms, snappy and very touchy. I have also noticed a couple of times a bright red face happening out of nowhere. My friend who is…
  • Bump, excellent read, thanks for posting
  • Thank goodness there are posts like this for us new people to the site, thank you so much. I joined 5 weeks ago and input my stats and it gave me calories of 1470 to lose 2lbs a week (thought this was the way to go to lose weight from my start weight of 259 lbs) so the first week I lost 6lbs and was delighted. Then I…
  • I would suggest going to the bmr calculator on this site it will tell you how much your body would use in calories if you were in a coma etc just to keep your organs going, please eat ABOVE this amount daily and eat your exercise calories, I am only a newbie here but that is the advice I have seen numerous times in the…
  • Hello, still finding my feet on here, will send out a friend request, got over 100 lbs to lose myself, lost over 9 stone a few years back by starving and guess what put most of it back on again so this time decided not to starve myself so trying the eat more to lose weight method, still finding my feet and tweaking my…

  • I will look into that app, thanks for your reply! I was looking to find my maintenance to ensure I was eating enough to lose fat and not just water etc and read with a lot of weight to lose it is better to start off with a higher amount so you can cut from that if necessary and MVP was giving me 200below my bmr
  • Very well done on you weight loss, I always like to send/receive encouragement as I am at the start of my long weight loss journey so I always try and comment and send out positivity to those in a similar battle with their weight, always looking for new friends on here..
  • Hi I am looking to lose 100lbs + and am in my second week of upping my calories to 10 x body weight GROAN as I read lots of posts on here and decided to try and lose weight slowly and steadily. Seeing the scale go back up is scary whilst I am in the 3 week period of trying to find out my maintenance calories but would like…
  • I make my own, Easi Yo yoghurt, easily available in the UK, which is real easy to do just add the powder to the jar along with water, then put it in its "flask" and leave for 8 hours. The greek flavour is thick and creamy and totally yummy.
  • Two weeks ago today I had my picture taken, the next day I hot footed it to this site to do something. Never realised I was THAT big, I even looked twice at the others in the picture and yes they looked just like they always do so it just reinforces I too hate hate hate my picture taken.
  • Thanks rosied915, before I found this site I was going to follow the Diet Chef programme of 1200 calories but before my food box arrived I found this site. SO pleased I did as the box has arrived and from whats in it UGH I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes on my weight loss journey and would have been eating 600 below my BMR.…
  • Hi Gemi, thanks for your response, sent you a friend request, certainly wouldn't be commenting on what you eat, pleased to see we have the same sort of statistics. Hate to say I did the weight loss/regain it all back thing a few years back (I lost 9 stone) by starving myself and was not prepared to starve this time. I…
  • Thank you both for your replies, yes I thought I had better try and get it right before I carry on. Glad I read the posts or I would have been sticking with 1540 and probably struggling with that amount sooner rather than later.
  • Thank you for your input, I have a lot to learn so appreciate it
  • replied below as you can get it quite easily in UK
  • I am in the UK and you can get apple cider vinegar (with the mother) direct from Ostlers Cider Mill, Devon order online or ring them up, I got it for its numerous health benefits, indigestion etc and it stopped that in its tracks
