  • I read the opening of this thread to my husband and his response was "luckily I never ate a 'small' blizzard". LOL! As I sit and reminisce of frozen dairy treats gone by, I realize that we used to end an evening out with a large blizzard (1200cal/50fat). A normal weekend dinner at Outback, which began with a Shared Bloomin…

  • So I know nothing about this topic but hearsay and maybee wives tales so I probabaly should not even be posting, but it was just too much fun I couldn't resist, asking my questions too. However I found this terrific website that can calculate what you calorie deficit should be from your BMR in order to loose the weight goal you are looking for. There is a built…

  • now that is a GREAT idea!
  • That is actually incorrect. Dr. Atkins does not say no sugar at all. There are natural sugars in the veggies, fruits, nuts, etc and as you move up the carb ladder you add in more natural stuff, which contains natural sugars, so you are only getting sugar from NATURAL sources. [/quote] You are right - I apologize I was…

  • When I first saw the title of this post I thought blech :P (no offense) But I have recently come to read many amazing things about Kale - apparently a new super food, better than brocolli. So I am willing to try it. From what I remember Kale is very strong and earthy in taste, does the almond milk and mango mask that?
  • Sugar (any sugar) is a simple carbohydrate like, white flour, and white rice. The body absorbs simple carbs quickly, causing blood sugar to spike and provoking an insulin response that speeds the conversion of calories to fat. This is also why you are hungry so quickly after eating a snickers bar verse a piece of chicken…

  • if you have calories left roday eat a small piece of the cake. (if not you can subtract from tomoorow) You will still be practicing will power by not going overboard and you will get it off your mind which I agree could lead to eating more later because you felt deprived. Good Luck!
