OK... so i joined this website to maintain my weight and make sure i am eating healthy. MFP gives me
2,560 calories a day in order to maintain my weight. but i can only seem to eat about 1,300 calories at most a day. is 2,560 alot? or am i crazy. if you have an answer please leave them on whether or not i should try to eat most of those calories or if it's alright to continue eating the same....
thanks for any answers in advance!!! :flowerforyou:

That does kind of seem like a lot... how tall are you? What do you have your settings at, because if you have it at very active that may be the reason. Hope this helped, good luck!

i'm 5'10 and 140 lbs. and my setting's at active because i am usually getting up and down on a typical day. maybe i'll try another week of eating the same and if i lose weight then i'll try to start eating what MFP recommends. but i'd really rather maintain. hmmmmm..... :ohwell:0

If you basically work in an office, I would mark yourself as sedentary. If you work in a restaurant as wait staff or a cook, then active.0

according to the tool on this website your estimated BMR is: 1,495 calories/day*
Are you extremely active like a runner? that may explain the large amount of calories.0 -
OMG! thanks for the answers. i figured out why. it's cause i put that i workout 7 days a week for 60 minutes.... which i do. so i guess thats why it's so high. thanks again!0
