Hey Everyone
I just thought I would take a second to post. I am so proud right now of myself. I went to lunch at a chinese restaurant today with some co-workers and I was dreading it because I have been trying to eat Paleo and chinese food is just not healthy. Well, We got there, I ordered chicken and broccoli and some bbq pork (just 3 pieces) and then skipped my soup, fortune cookie, and rice! I sipped on water and just tried to focus on the conversation, This was the healthiest option they had...I compared it to a similar meal at panda express and it would be about 220 calories with the pork. I then had some cucumbers when I came back to give me a little more energy and black coffee.
I was so nervous but it seemed so easy! I planned ahead and called the restaurant to find out what their healthiest options were. I had a garlic and butter sauce on the them but just lightly. This is not bad according to the Paleo diet and I skipped soy sauce.
I haven't seen the scale move yet but I am only on my second week and I feel great, have slept better, have more energy, and feel like I see some difference in my body even though the scale isn't showing it yet.
Now, I get to leave work in about 45 minutes to go do a killer workout and I can't wait to tell my husband how I made it healthy...he eats out with his coworkers and is trying to find healthy options and now I can share it with him!
Just thought I would share!

Good Job! You are starting to plan meals and pay attention to what you are eating! You should be very proud of yourself. Any victory no matter how small is still a victory!!! Yeah you!:drinker:
I don’t know much about the Paleo diet, only caution you about the Chinese - BBQ Pork 3 oz is 240 calories and 13grams of fat. The pork is fine but not sure the cave men had BBQ. A better choice next time might be the cup of hot and sour soup instead (100 cal zero fat). Plus, soup is a great way to make you feel full on little calories.
Keep up the good work!!! It's hard but if you stick with it you will see the scale move down & we are all behind you!0
