I think it's a good way to track but can be dangerous if you're eating it all back. If you exercise and don't have negative adjustments it cancels out the lowest of the two which I feel has presented a more accurate picture. Your milage may vary.

If it's part of your regular routine then you shouldnt factor that on. Is it good for your health? Sure! It isn't however an exercise activity. I walk to work every day, if I counted that 30 minutes of my regular routine it would affect my calories on MFP. Since I don't want that to be considered an additional "exercise" I…

I'm worth USMCP here, try to find one thing you like. The refrigerator analogy is great.

Almost all plants are high in fiber. Honestly just find some you love: leafy green vegetables are my favorite. For high cholesterol I try to just go with at least one truly vegan meal a day. And not your snack. Exercise, exercise, exercise.

I like to drink, I just do it in moderation. Never before a workout though, or rather, never again. I can't really push myself, even if it was one cocktail hours earlier. It just saps my motivation.

They're out there. Some people seem to have the perception they should be on the receiving end and never the giving end for motivation or support. Personally when I notice someone like that on my list, I remove them. Not saying you do that...it just might be a good idea to try to add active chatty-cathy type friends and…

I just log it and move forward. If I notice a trend of specific days I'll see if I maybe ate less before the binge, did I have a particularly stressful day, etc. That way if there's a reason for it, I can avoid in the future or at least try to mitigate the potential for a future issue.

Congratulations on your first five days! Keep it up until it just becomes a habit and those positive changes will keep rolling in.
-
Welcome. Be gentle with yourself and always keep moving forward and you'll do great.

Very true words. Thank you for the reminder.

What goals are you trying to accomplish? There are lots of helpful threads, and people, on these forums. Also, welcome!

Any time. :)

As in, in the dick or with one because...people round these parts may be a bit... Freaky. :D

Welcome! Take a deep breath and remember that just as your schooling is there to help you grow as a person, your health supports that journey. Work on lowering your stress and anxiety by looking at how far you've come since you started college and how much of a change the transition to college was. You've nearly finished…

Thank you for sharing and don't worry about TMI. You have illustrated so well that what you're doing is for *you* and the people that truly matter tof you. Congratulations on your weight loss and all of your hard work.

Take some pictures so you can look back and see how far you've come. Just keep exercising, do some body weight exercises if you feel up to it to help build up those muscles and as the previous poster said, think about taking some time top get a few sessions with a personal trainer when you're comfortable. They might be…

I use incline, especially since it's easier on my knees. .5 is my minimum but I'll interval it up to 2 to really get a good burn going.

It's never to early to start lifting! Off to the gym with you!

Do you have food appearance related goals? First: sausage patty, then link, then bacon, soon...Asparagus! :D Sorry, couldn't resist.

Why hello there OP! I am a sweat queen. I sweat when I'm cold, I sweat when it's comfortable temperature, I sweat when it's hot. It's ridiculous...so just imagine the gym! Top this off that my hair is down to the bottom of my bottom. Hair washing is a pain. Since I've been this way my whole life and been advised by doctors…

Thanks for the reminder that we need to be gentle with ourselves. Rest is so important. I'm trying to make it a goal to get extra sleep when I feel I need it because otherwise my motivation just goes out the window.

Take a deep breath, you just had a baby! Your hormones are and have been wonky, and if you're breast feeding you're going to keep weight on longer. Even if you aren't...you just had a baby! Enjoy that. The weight will come off with time. Just eat healthy and do some exercise when and as you feel ready.

I can see where this would be super helpful for a lot of people, and I can see where this might go off the rails with how sensitive we can be about our weight loss / health / fitness journies. It's a nice idea, I say go for it. :)

You only can change yourself. Try focusing on it as him being there to help motivate you and that you would love his support, and not about him losing weight or being healthier. If he goes that's awesome and some of that will participation will effect him. He may feel daunted by your progress, or that you're judging him…

The most important thing is if you feel better! As the other poster apps, lots of things can factor into the scale however if you're feeling better that's all that matters. Take some measurements and make sure you aren't missing that you're slimming in the right areas and building in others. :)
