  • Most states have some kind of WIC program for expecting moms who are struggling financially. If you can get some of those benefits you will be able to get much healthier groceries and start cooking meals. You really need to look into it, for you and your baby. That's why these programs exist!
  • First thing I thought when I saw his pictures was "WTG" then I read his post and I was "WTF". Sorry that his amazing results were not done in a healthy way. I have yo-yo dieted for a long time and main reason I gained weight back was because I was on diets that were not sustainable. Eventually your brain and body get…
  • Yah I'm kinda a clothes hoarder, not really bad though, just I keep clothes and recycle them. I got a bin labeled "fat clothes" "really fat" and "skinny". Anything I really like I sort and keep. I figure I'll be in it again eventually, why waste money. I would get an entirely new wardrobe though if I got to my ultimate…
  • I had suffered for years with gallbladder problems. The cause of it was partially dietary, but taking oral birth-control can also cause damage to the gallbladder. I had been on them since I was 15 and think that played a large part. The worst episodes I had were when I was actually passing stones. Sometimes they would get…
  • OK. Here's my two cents. I like the face on the O.P's dude. Just wish he had blonde hair. I'm a sucker for blonde's. His abs are also absolutely AMAZING! Goddess I love a hot 6 (or 8) pack. NOT a fan of all the tat's and buldging veins on his arms though. I like muscles on arms too, but not like that. Of course if I wasn't…
  • I just made Pamela's brand Gluten Free Bread. The mix can be made in a traditional oven or bread maker. It has 3g dietary fiber per serving, and has "whole-grain" seal. You could always add extra fiber, but I really like this bread as is. It turned out super tasty and smelled amazing baking. To reduce calories you could…
  • This is me. Might also try this with Cheetos or Fritos.
  • I'm pretty sure I either have Celiac or a Gluten intolerance. Dr. Visit is not for a long while though so I'm giving it a try for a few weeks. I found this website. They have a lot of information and best of all a G.F. shopping mall. I plan to buy all my supplies for the next three weeks from there.…
  • I don't know why there is all this debate over artificial sweeteners. If you are sensitive to them, avoid them. Just because they impact some people doesn't mean that everyone should give them up. If they don't bother you, then enjoy them. Personally, one of my biggest health risks, besides obesity, is diabetes.…
  • Well regardless whether this recipe will actually help speed up your metabolism or not, it's gotta be a better substitute than sugar-laden soda's and sports drinks. It sounds refreshing.
  • Well consider this a learning experience. You now know that Starbucks oat bars are high in calories. If your going to treat yourself to something (and it's the same calories) it might as well be something you really want. Not just something you think is healthy. Atleast your calorie neutral. You ate and burned. No harm…
  • I have not tried SlimQuick, but I have tried other cleansing systems. First off, I have to differentiate between "weight loss" and "fat loss". Cleanse systems will cause some "weight loss", strictly .lb coming off scale. This is mostly in the form of waste and water. You may feel more energetic and less bloated, which can…
  • You are not plus-sized. You are not obese. These terms are not offensive to you because you are fortunate enough not to be in those categories. However, many including myself...are. Curvy is just a polite way of calling someone overweight or plus-sized. It sounds better and it's not as rude. Be lucky you don't have to…
  • I really like this idea. Think I will start doing it. Right now I'm tempted to weigh in daily, but I've been trying not to. Seeing little or no results does impact me. I won't fall off the wagon immediately, but it's the long stretches of no change that really dicourage me.
  • I started gaining weight when I was about 7 or 8. Before then I was a normal or slightly underweight kid. Got hooked on sweet stuff in school ironically, since it wasn't something really kept at home. That kind of started the downward spiral. Weight just went up from there I was a fat ballerina ages 8-13. Quit that because…
  • I love my sweets. They surely have led me down the dark path I walk now. Dramatic, but true. Best advice I can offer is: 1) Plan to eat 1 treat daily (or as often per week as you desire). Calculate it into you log first thing in the morning, so you'll know exactly what you can do with the rest of the day. 2) Take charge of…
  • I'm a Nutella Monster too! But macaroni & cheese with fish sticks and pizza still win out.
  • I've been diagnosed with PCOS for almost a year now and I know how depressing and difficult it can be. Just remember you have the wonderful blessing of your little girl. Pregnancy is so difficult for some of us (myself included). Feel free to friend me, I'm here way too much and I log daily.
  • My mom got physically fitter, healthier, AND dropped 35lbs using the Leslie Sansone DVD's. She's does them 5X a week and is in the best shape ever. Hate to say it, but she can do 5 miles and still feel like a tiger, while I'm lucky I do 1-2 miles. Good thing is we've started doing it together. It's much easier to work out…
  • My logging is fairly accurate. Usually exact. As for my fruits and vegetables, that's not likely to change. I don't like them. Never have, never will. I'd rather starve myself than be forced to eat foods I do not like.
  • More info: I've been at 1360 for 3 weeks now. Weight loss is pretty much halted. With MFP I'm set to loose 2lbs a week.
  • Louiyen and imchichbad- I despise diet pills too. I've wasted plenty of money on them to find out they never worked. I guess supplements could be counted in that number too. Problem is I have other health problems and diet (even eating clean) isn't giving me the results. I've never really tried fasting, cause I just don't…
  • You go girl! Looking Good. Can't wait till I make my first 100lbs down.
  • Looked at your diary entry for Sunday and it's way below your 1200 calorie goal. I believe this may be the source of your dizziness. If your going to eat only 1200 calories you need to eat every single one of them. I would also suggest some clean/lean proteins. Please make sure you are accounting for any exercise/activity…
  • I haven't been to Mickie D's in 85 days since I started on MFP. I've been tempted, but I find I can eat a whole lot more burger and fries when they are homeade. The fat in those skinny lil burgers is INSANE! My first big craving for fast food was satified at Popeyes and now occasionally at KFC. I don't mind eating at fast…

  • You can always try over the counter meds for losing the water weight, but I'd just watch my sodium. Get back on track, drink enough water and stay away from foods high in sodium. It'll take a few days maybe a week, but it will go. Been there. Done that.
  • I've tried eating more calories and results were the same. Plus when I used MFP to calculate BMR first few times I had my activity level as being higher than what it usually is. Right now my current stats are on target with what MFP suggests and I have lowered my carbs. It's very hard for me to do. Most of the time I'm…
  • Gave ups: 1) I have given up mindless eating. Ya know, just eating something cause the idea to eat it just "popped" into your head. 2)Given up fast foods. I've had it twice in my 80 days of using MFP. Do Differents: 1) Daily counting of calories. Measuring portions. Planning meals (and sticking to plans). 2) Shopping for…
