I drink at least a glass first thing in the morning (after weighing). If water is the first thing I drink in the day, I crave it more than if I drink coffee first thing. I also keep a large thermos or bottle at my desk so I can drink up to 4 cups without having to get up and refill, so it's more convenient.

I had surgery to fix a broken ankle (2 broken leg bones, fractured ankle bone) this summer. I was stuck at my parents' for about 3 months. Right ankle, couldn't drive, and 3 flights of stairs to my apartment was more trouble than it was worth. Just be mindful of your calories in, and do upper body/core work. Make sure you…

I spent a semester in South Korea and lost weight, gained it back when I came back to the US. It was easy in Korea, because I was walking so much more (in my hometown you have to drive, because everything is too spread out to walk to, and our public transit is a joke). And I was always going on some sort of adventure so…

I'd definitely like to hear your story! Mainly I'm worried about the physical therapy and being able to get back to normal as fast as I can. I have a week-long camping trip in the Mojave at the end of September (12 weeks and 3 days from surgery...), and I want to be able to function so I don't hate the whole time I spend…

9 months? D: Your injury sounds a lot like mine. 2 bones, I have a plate, 6 screws, and 2 pins. Was it 9 months before you were able to walk or 9 month until you were back to more or less normal?

26 and looking to lose 50-60! Feel free to add me :]
-
That's a big change! What have you been doing for your weight loss?
-
Hitting the gym 5 times in one week, and not feeling burnt out. Historically I've had a bad habit of getting back on the wagon and then going to the gym and working out so hard I'm sore and grumpy for days, which kills my motivation to go back to the gym.
-
My goal is to lose 50-55 :]

5'10" over here!

Good for you!! :]

I took last week off for a few different reasons, but I've been pretty consistent going twice a week and I'm working toward 3 times a week. For me, I'm motivated to go to the gym because: 1. I'm paying for it 2. I have friends that go to the same gym 3. I have a personal trainer 4. I've been lifting and getting stronger.…

Water weight :] No need to worry. Foods that are higher in sodium or not getting enough water or changing up your exercise routine or hormone fluctuations can cause it.
-
Companies are legally permitted to label foods as 0 calorie if there is less than 5 calories per serving. But EVERY food has calories.
-
That's incredible! Congratulations!! :D

I've struggled with depression, too. Personally, it really helps to find a physical activity that's fun, or friends that are willing to exercise with me. I always stick to my exercising better when I have plans to hit the gym with a friend. And the endorphins that exercise releases can help a bit, depending on how severe…

Remind yourself that something happened to make them all so bitter. You deserve to be happy, and other people's negative words and actions shouldn't take that from you. It's tough, I know :[ Hang in there. Honestly I would recommend to start looking for another source of employment, one that isn't run by your family. A…

Hi! I'm trying to hit 1300 cals a day. I'm not the best at keeping my diary up-to-date, particularly in the evenings or on weekends...But I think I've got some good stuff going for work days!

I'm always on the look-out for more friends. Currently just under 190, hoping to get down to at least 140 if not lower. Add me ^^

Ham and swiss lunchables, actually, with a protein bar as a snack.

9 inches off your hips in 3 weeks? I would kill for that @.@ Just stick to what you're doing :] it's hard to notice the changes because you look at yourself every day, so all the changes your body goes through can go unnoticed for weeks, even months. Maybe take progress photos, and check back in another 3-4 weeks on those…

I try to go at least twice a week but my goal is 3 days a week. Eventually I'd like to add cardio on my off days, but it might be a month or so before I'm ready to do that.
-
I try to hit the gym 3 times a week, so I usually wash my hair every other day or so, depending on what else I have going on.
-
I'm also starting over again. I had a pretty good start back in July, but then fell off the wagon when I went traveling for a few weeks for business. Getting back into the swing of things, though!

If you're in Australia, do you have access to lots of fresh fruits and veggies? That's what I would recommend. You can still do the meat, but maybe substitute the pasta for fruits and veggies. You can eat more volume for the same or fewer calories, and you can either microwave or cook them or eat them fresh.

5'10" as well!

I'm Kelly, 25, into Star Wars (official 501st and Rebel Legion member), anime, cosplay, video games, Star Trek, Marvel, Supernatural (although I'm wayyyy behind...), Sherlock, and 9 + 10th Doctor Who :] Ideally I'd like to lose 40-50 pounds, but depending on measurements that number is flexible. I've been a serial starter,…
