It sounds like many of you have this down to a science. I appreciate all the feedback and will incorporate a lot of what you've shared. Wish me luck!

I'm having the same issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice already and it's not updating

I really needed to hear this today, thank you!

This is a great thread. I find for me, if the cravings get so bad that I want to just eat something every day and know I will over indulge, I tell myself that I can have that treat later in the week on XX day. This gives me something to look forward to and I don't feel like I'm depriving myself. I looked at the article at…

You can add me. I'm always looking for people that have around 20 lbs to lose. There are many on here with a lot of weight to lose but I don't see too many with a lesser amount. I struggle to be disciplined with food as well and find it very hard to lose.

This group kind of fizzled out, but unfortunately I'm still struggling with the same pounds. I had lost 10 lbs in 6 months on the Fast Metabolism Diet but gained in all back when I sort of went crazy during the holidays back in 2018. I went back to tracking on MFP and that wasn't working so I'm on Fast Metabolism Diet…

Try Stevia in the Raw brand, it's less bitter than other brands

I started tracking this morning. I need to keep it up

I have the same goal of a smaller number of pounds to lose compared to some members trying to lose 100 or more. I'm 170 lbs looking to lose 20. I could use some motivation as well, my downfall are sweets which I swear cause me to overeat other foods, mainly carbs. I'm in the women's over 50 group as well.

Edit to the above - it took me 6 months to lose 10 pounds, not 6 weeks. If only it would have been that easy!

I've been on MFP for while, inconsistent with tracking that I need to work on. I'm 57 and would like to lose about 25 lbs. Last year I did the Fast Metabolism Diet and lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks but right around the holidays, I went a little crazy and gained it all back. It is a very unsustainable way to eat although I did…

Might be too late, but I have both the Fitbit Charge HR and the Aria scale. I like that my fitbit links to the scale and both show up on MFP. Helps me keep track of my weight fluctations.

I'm thinking about going premium too to help me be more accountable. I'm around your age, about to turn 56 in March. What features does premium have that will help with accountability?

Honestly, I find I don't lose unless I drop down to 1000 calories. I know you're not supposed to go below 1200, but I'm also on meds that cause weight gain. Maybe I need to drop down to 1000 at least for some days during the week.

Thanks for the tips!

1/20: 171 Down 5 lbs this week due to being sick with bronchitis and not eating much. Hopefully I can keep the losses going to get to my goal!

I vote for Saturdays

I would totally do that. What day of the week do we want to weigh in. I usually weigh myself on Saturday mornings, but Im willing to weigh in on the same day everyone else wants to.

When you did IF did you just skip breakfast and then stop eating after a certain time once you ate dinner? That's what I was doing. I found I was less hungry the rest of the day when I didn't eat breakfast. Like it opened up my appetite or something

Wow, you're right where I need to be at 146!
