Tracking food item over a long range of dates
I want to track my morning coffee creamer over multiple days all at once so I don't have to track it every day. I've tried to figure out how to do this but I'm unable to do it. Is this possible, or is it not a feature of MFP?

Looking for an app for leftover macros
I'm counting macros and often find myself with leftover protein, fat and carb grams that I need to use up. I would love to be able to plug that info into an app that would then give me suggested meals or snacks that could use up those macros. I've tried looking in the Play Store on my phone for such an app with no luck,…

Looking for an App for leftover macros
I also posted this on another board. I'm counting macros and often find myself with leftover protein, fat and carb grams that I need to use up. I would love to be able to plug that info into an app that would then give me suggested meals or snacks that could use up those macros. I've tried looking in the Play Store on my…

MFP flow to Fitbit?
I track my exercise with my Fitbit which is linked to MFP, but I log my food intake on MFP. Today I was on my Fitbit dashboard and saw food log entries, some which matched the calories for the meals I logged on MFP and some not matching. Does food logged on MFP flow over to Fitbit like the way exercise flows from Fitbit to…

New Avocado find
Aldi has Lilcados which are single serving small avocados that are only 88 calories. I often cut up a bigger avocado and trying to watch calories only eat part of it that sometimes goes to waste unless my husband eats the rest of it. These are perfect. They have a website https://lilcados.com with recipes.

So much conflicting information
I read a lot of weight loss articles and honestly it is confusing. These are some of the examples of things I've read: 1. If you lower your calories too much your body goes into starvation mode. 2. If you eat lower calorie your body gets used to it, once you add calories you gain weight. 3. You need to eat breakfast to…

Cardio only burns calories?
I was on Youtube and stumbled onto an ad that I watched part of. Once I realized it was to sell supplements I clicked out of it but before I did the spokesperson made the statement "Cardio burns calories, not fat". What does that even mean? Was he saying that doing cardio doesn't put you in fat burning mode? I didn't keep…

Please look at my food diary for this past week
Looking for advice on where I may be going wrong with my food intake. I've logged everything this week and gained. I'm trying to lose 20 lbs and it is very hard. Last week I managed to lose but I'm back up today even though I tracked everything and stayed within my goal. I'm open to any suggestions.

Grams vs ounces
Is there a difference between logging grams vs ounces or are both measurements in the food database to account for people who use the metric system vs what those of us here in the US use? Is one more accurate than the other?

Eating light before weigh in
Does anyone who is a weekly weigher eat lighter the day before to see a drop on the scale? I weigh weekly on Saturdays and typically I will eat a very light dinner on Friday and avoid restaurant food, salty food and any other food that will affect the reading on the scale. I will sometimes just have some eggs for dinner. I…

Losing just 20 lbs
I see a lot of great success stories of people who have lost a significant amount of weight. I have just 20 lbs to lose and would like to hear from others in that same situation who have been successful. I find it extremely hard and really feel I have to cut back calories significantly (not below 1200) and feel hungry all…

Good choice for butter?
I like butter on certain foods but concerned about the saturated fat. I've looked at margarines, but have heard they are highly processed and have questionable ingredients. Most of the ones I've read the labels for have some type of oil. What does everyone use to butter their baked potatoes, pancakes, etc.?

Here again after Fast Metabolism Diet
I've been on MFP for a while now, never really serious about tracking to get any results. Last year I did the Fast Metabolism Diet and lost 10 lbs in 6 months only to gain it back months later when the holidays hit. I liked it because I didn't have to count anything, just stick to the allowed food groups. I did learn a lot…

Let's get motivated!
OK, it's a new year, time to hit this hard. I'm going grocery shop tomorrow and really start planning my meals and tracking on MFP. I don't know how motivated I'm going to be to go to the gym since it's like 4 degrees where I am and will be for the next week or so. I'm going to try and be diligent with my food intake and…

Tried any other weight loss methods?
Previously, I lost 18 lbs on weight watchers and got to the goal weight I chose which was 146 and an ideal weight for me. Since then I've gained that back and then some. I've also tried South Beach Diet, intermittent fasting, carb cycling and most recently I tried Bistro MD which was good but was very expensive so I only…

Who's tired of 2 lbs down then 2 lbs up?
It is so hard to lose a pound or 2 and sooo easy to gain it back. I'm so tired of the ups and downs. I feel like I have to eat like a bird to consistently lose week after week. I've got to get motivated to stick to my 1200 a day.

Back on track
After over indulging slightly this weekend due to being away, I'm back to tracking and watching what I'm eating. I'm crossing my fingers for another loss this week, I'm looking to get out of the 170's, I have 3 lbs to get to 170, providing I don't gain this week.

Thanksgiving dinner over
I didn't do too badly today. I didn't pile up my plate like I usually do. I usually weigh in on Saturdays but I weighed this morning since I''ll be away for the rest of the weekend. My weight was the same but at least it wasn't a gain. Back on track tomorrow the best I can due to not being home.

Looking for help setting up a carb cycling plan
I'm looking to do carb cycling and need some help. I've read Chris Powell's book and have went to various websites and also searched posts here to find out how many grams of carbs I should have on each of my low and high days that I'm alternating. I'm unable to find an definitive answer or a calculator that gives me the…

Women 45-50 with 20 lbs or less to lose
I'm 50 and have never been extremely overweight, just less than 20 lbs or so. I previously lost weight with Weight Watchers and got down to 145. Then I went through menopause and put on 20 lbs. Tried Weight Watchers again with no success this time. I had my metabolism tested and my BMR is only 1095! I was doing kickboxing…

Food Diary of menopausal women
Ever since I've gone through menopause about a year and a half ago, I'm struggling to lose the 20 lbs I've gained since then. I've rejoined weight watchers with no success. Can some of you ladies who are successful with losing since going through menopause respond back with open food diaries so I can take a look at a…
