  • Wow, you're right where I need to be at 146!
  • I need to weigh everyday. I feel like I'll be more diligent with my food if I see the effect of it everyday
  • I just created a group named 5'4" and 30 lbs to lose if anyone is interested in joining so we can help each other stay motivated
  • Me too! Exact height and number of pounds needed to lose. Would love to have some encouragement.
  • I had it for 3 weeks earlier this year and was going to physical therapy and doing the exercises she gave me at home. What did it for me was a massage. It hurt some while she massaged my painful areas, but the next day, the sciatica pain was gone and hasn't come back since.
  • I have the Fitbit Charge HR 2 and it's my favorite. I like that I can press the button at the beginning of my workout and then again at the end and I instantly see calories burned, heart rate, etc. without waiting until I access it on my phone or Ipad. I tried the Alta and ended up switching back to the Charge HR 2.
  • Thanks for the info. I will check out that book and figure out my higher days based on what you responded with. I may have more questions if I get confused.
  • This is awesome! I just started this form of IF this week. If I may ask, what is your age and starting weight? I'm 53 and need to lose 20-30 lbs but my metabolism is not what it used to be because of my age. I'm hoping IF will help me as well as it is working for you.
  • I can totally relate. I don't have the hot flash problem so much anymore as I'm 53 and started menopause at 47. I still get the hot flashes from time to time but not nearly as bad as the beginning. But I'm right with you on the inability to lose the 20 lbs I've gained since menopause. And yes, inconsistency is my problem…
  • What herbs do you use to stabilize your hormone levels?

  • I also suffer from anxiety and I found I was mistaking the anxiety I felt in the pit of my stomach for feelings of hunger. I put on about 10-12 lbs before I realized what was going on. I would think I was hungry when I know I shouldn't have been because I just ate, etc. Now that I can recognize this, I'm better able to…
  • How many times a week do you do Body Pump?
  • I'm in the same boat. My weight has gone up to 168 and my ideal weight is 145 which I previously reached a few years ago on weightwatchers. I'm on medication for anxiety which I'm slowly decreasing that has contributed to my gain. I hope to be completely off it in September. In the meantime, I'd love some motivation from…
  • Try Debbie Meyer green containers and bags.
  • It was at a local wellness center. They tested it by putting some type of mask over your nose and mouth that measures your oxygen for about 20 minutes and then a machine gives you a reading.
  • I turned 50 this year too. I lost about 20 lbs in 2009 doing weight watchers, then I had a health issue followed by menopause and now I've gained it all back. Weight watchers no longer works for me plus I'm interested in tracking my carbs, protein, etc. I also had my metabolism tested and found out my resting metabolic…
  • I had the same experience. I stuck pretty close to Phase I for the two weeks and nothing. Plus I got sick of eating those vegetable quiche cups to go. By the end of the 2 weeks I was close to puking at the thought of eating another one. I'm back to just counting my calories and watching my carbs at night. That with…

  • I've restarted weight watchers after having success with it a a few years ago. Recently I started tracking on MFP so i could see my carbs, protein, etc. I discovered i can track on MFP (larger database) then convert my total carbs, protein, etc. using the WW calculator to track my points without having to reenter food in…
  • I just started it yesterday. I did it a few years ago as a jump start to weight watchers and it worked. After having a medical issue and going through menopause I've gained the weight back and weight watchers is no longer working so I'm giving SB a try again hoping to be successful. There are a few groups on here that are…
  • How long have you been doing SB? I just started yesterday, but I've done it before as a jump start to weight watchers. I'm now at the point where weight watchers is no longer working so I thought I'd give SB a try again.
