Check out meetup.com . It's not a dating website at all. Find meet ups in your area that interest you--it's a GREAT way to meet people that you have something in common with. I have been a member of a hiking meet up group for about 2 years now. I have made some wonderful friends through this...meet up saved my social life…

I wouldn't stress yourself out about that right now. I recommend setting smaller goals first and then adjusting. I started at 250 and my goal on here is 175, though I know that once I get there I'll want to keep going. My first semi-big goal is to get under 200 (just a few pounds away!).

I'd say that you should probably just lead by example...? She needs to decide to make the change on her own.

What a difference! You look fantastic! And by the way, love your shirt----Go Penguins!!

Some of us need more structure than others. I guess you're one of the lucky ones that does not. I'm not going to argue about it--it works for me and I'm making a huge LIFESTYLE CHANGE. Bottom line, the OP was looking for support from others who are following this "diet". If you're not, then why respond?

Yes, it most certainly does. But when you are eating healthier, it makes the job much easier for your body.

The toxins from all the crap we've been eating....

I have had injuries in the past that prevented me from being able to workout. Just had to ease back into things. Are you allowed to do anything low impact? Maybe if you can at least do some walking you can burn a few calories every day.

Lookin' good! Keep it up!

Also.... Though I have only been doing this one month, my relationship with food has completely changed. I am eating to live, not living to eat. I am able to go out to eat with friends, go to other peoples' house for dinner, etc. At this point in the diet, I am feeling so great that it is easy for me to turn down my old…

He clearly states in the book that in the first cycle you will lose a significant amount of weight due to your body detoxing and getting rid of all the extra water weight that it is storing. It's not until the 2nd cycle when you start burning fat and losing weight at a normal rate. You start by detoxing and then you build…

You are amazing! Thanks for the inspiration!

I started in January and LOVE it (I'm on Cycle 2, Day 11). Feel free to add me and we can support each other.

Great idea!

I've been doing it for 22 days now (so I'm on cycle 2). It is GREAT. I've never felt so healthy and energetic! ENJOY! :-)

I think either way is fine....more of a preference thing I suppose :-)

Amazing! You are such an inspiration!

But to answer your questions, I like to watch both :o) It's nice to see a difference in your body fat percentage when you're not seeing a difference on the scale even though you're busting your butt.
-
This formula calculates your percentage of weight lost--not percentage of body fat. For measuring body fat % you're best off with a skin fold test or body fat % monitor (my friend bought be an Omron Body Fat Analyzer, which I know they use in a lot of gyms). There are calculators online that you can use also to determine…

I would say just get right back on track with what you're supposed to be doing food-wise. And yes, work out a little harder.

You are a rock star! Way to go!

I don't have answers to all of your questions, but I will say that I LOVE my MacBook. I have had it for 4 years and haven't had a single problem with it (knock on wood). My mom has had her 6 and also has not had any issues. Mac is the way to go! Oh, but yes, get Apple Care. I never had to use it, but better safe than sorry!

Good to know I'm not alone...thanks :-)

Oh, I know. I used to teach in Maryland--top school system in the nation. There are unions up north and therefore the pay is much higher. I just wanted to clear up the misconception that ALL states pay teachers that well.

I am a teacher in NC and get paid $30,000. Haven't had a raise since I moved here 4 years ago. Had a much nicer salary whenI was teaching up north. Anyway, I am a ten month employee, but I choose to have my salary spread out over the 12 months. I also work every summer to help supplement my income. Anyway, back to the…

We are also paid as 10 month employees. And your argument doesn't really work. You'd have a point if doctors and lawyers got paid $30,000 a year.

Very well said! And for the record, there would be a very high burn out rate if we didn't have those 8 weeks!
