Good work! And good job for writing a positive post about yourself. You deserve it!

I say yes. Research sugar and acidity in the body, and the body's hormonal response to the foods we eat. It's eye opening.

Exactly what I was going to say. Lifting can be intimidating, especially when you are new. I trained for a few sessions with a trainer, which is what got me more comfortable with weight lifting around other people. But there are so many websites, like Bodybuilder.com, or Fitness RX for women, or Muscle and Fitness Hers…

Are you lifting heavy weights? My phsyique completely changed when I consistently started lifting weights. At that point you can tell inches lost since the number on the scale might not budge. Good luck!

Chicken tacos: 1 onion 1 lb ground chicken 1/2 jalapeno 2 cloves garlic 1 packet of taco seasoning from the store (check salt content) 1 chioptle in adobo sauce and 1 tablespoon of sauce from can (super cheap) Sautee onion until soft, add chopped and deseeded jalapeno, chopped chipotle and sauce and garlic for a minute or…

Try taking enzymes with meals. It aids digestion.

I thought the same thing when I started lifting. I did a lot of cardio, and then got a trainer and started lifting, and the more I Lifted the more I shrank! My weight stayed the same but inches came off. Stay consistent! You'll do great :) just find something that works for you. I'd lift three days a week, and days you…

Tilapia is inexpensive, doesn't smell when you cook it, and has a mild flavor.

Amazing change :) You look wonderful

Pretzels. Lara Bars. Water bottle. Popcorn. I always bring too much food so I'm not tempted :)

Do stuff like this. It hurts, but it'll make you burn: http://www.fitnessrxwomen.com/training/workout-tips-advice/leg-circuit/ Jump rope. Weights. High intensity for a shorter time is better than walking for an hour any day!

Switching to dark chocolate will save you on sugar. Chocolate isn't bad, it's how much you have that will keep you from your goals. I eat chocolate almost daily too.

I'm 36, so I'm not early 30's, but I'm successfully losing weight at my old age :D Lately I haven't been working out as much and have been eating at my maintenance calories, which is 2050, and I haven't gained any weight. Still fit into my size 6's and 8's. So I think of myself as successful.

Garmin FR70 has everything i need in a HRM and I can go running with it, time my intervals, it's durable - love it.

try Levi's curvy fit. Or Ann Taylor Loft. Shopping can be a big pain in the *kitten*. I have a difficult time finding proportional clothing too.

My arms! I've wanted fit arms for years. I finally have them. The more they lean out the better they look, and the harder I work. It's pretty awesome.

How about interval workouts ? Something like this - Burn tons of cals: http://www.fitnessrxwomen.com/training/workout-tips-advice/leg-circuit/

Don't over think the journey. Stick to your plan. Consistency pays off.

It is working. Perhaps nothing is wrong with what you're doing.

Eating healthfully, cutting out alcohol and excess sugar can aid digestion, and help any pooch go away that may accentuate the fat. Being mindful of posture can also make you look thinner.

I love that your mom lifts heavy! Kickass. Nice commitment to your goals :)

I have a Garmin FR70 and LOVE it. I dont' need the GPS, honestly. I use a Garmin 205 for mountain biking, but it's huge and has no option for a heart rate monitor available. The 305 - has a heart rate monitor and is gereat! But it's huge to wear on your wrist. It also has a lot of features that I will never use. I tried…

Yes, it's worth it. Best to go at your own pace than to push yourself too fast and end up with an injury. Plus, you aren't going out there to win. You are out there to finish - so what will a faster time get you if you aren't ready for it? Keep it up and you're speed will gradually increase - and if it doesn't, you'll live…

Have you read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 I was always hungry past what MFP told me to eat - and I'm fairly active. After taking the time to go through the above - I found out that the calories my body wanted were spot on for what I needed. I eat between…

This x100. Stay committed even if it doesn't feel like it's working. Change your thinking and you'll change your workouts. Turn the I cant's into I'll do it anyway. Also, stop thinking so much about it - and just go do it. Trust me - I've been the hugest doubter in the world - I think it happens to everyone. However, the…

These songs always get me going: -Cypress Hill "Insane in the Membrane" -Macklemore "Cant Hold Us" -House of Pain "Jump Around" - Bruno Mars "Locked out of Heaven"

I love my Garmin FR70. It's durable (I sweat a lot and break lots of gadgets during workouts). i have owned mine for a year - purchased the extra foot pod. It has just enough info without being overwhelming. I can go trail running, bike riding, lift in the gym - it goes where I go. And, the Garmin does laps, alarms, has a…

Soba noodles! They store well and taste good :) I don't have a recipe to recommend, but there are a lot out there. Quinoa patties are good too: http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/baked-quinoa-patties-recipe.html They are easy to make and freeze well. The recipe from her book is better in my opinion, but I love them.

A food scale makes measuring out food a breeze.
