  • So my TDEE minus 500 is around 1700. Is that how much I'm supposed to be eating? I keep hearing that I'm either eating too many calories or too little, so I'm getting a little confused with all of the different answers. I'm sure cutting out bread would be really beneficial for me. I did it for a few months last summer and…
  • Yeah, it's 2278, but I have no idea what that means haha.
  • Yes, but if the deficit is too high (like what you're doing) your body doesn't have enough calories to function properly, so the metabolism slows to conserve energy. You should be aiming for around a 500cal defecit per day, to my knowledge.
  • Okay, thank you! I will look for some. Hopefully I can find an option like that that's not overly expensive..! I've just started this combination of macros this week so I'm not sure if I'll see results yet (I weigh in on Monday), so I'm not sure if I need to cut calories yet. I don't usually eat back my exercise calories…
  • With strenuous exercise like that, you NEED to be eating back your calories. At the very least you should aim to have your NET CALORIES at 1,200--- otherwise you risk your body going into starvation mode and clinging on to all your fat. If you're going to train that hard you need to make sure you're eating a sufficient…
  • Thanks for the tips! I usually have 2 slices of bread a day, is that too much? Also how much protein do you recommend?

  • icecream... weighloss supplement? how? Icecream is my favourite food on earth, if you can prove this to me I will run 3 miles in pure excitement. (even if it's just moderation)

  • While exercise alone may be enough for some people to lose weight, it all depends on your metabolism. For most people, weightloss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. Ontop of your 30min of cardio try adding in some weights and strength training, you'll see results quicker! I'd recommend eating around 1500cals just to try…

  • I hear ya, maintaining virtual friendship is real tough, haha ;) But I promise I'm low maintenance!
  • You don't need to wait until all the excess fat is gone in order to start lifting! Lifting increases your muscle which speeds up your metabolism, meaning you'd lose the fat even quicker if you started to lift. :)
  • Real-talk, do whatever you want. Screw people who don't find it appealing, you're not doing it to please them. Run for yourself. If people don't like it, they don't have to look. The point is you're bettering yourself by getting off your *kitten* and that's all that matters. Excess hair isn't a big deal, you have no need…
  • I just calculated my TDEE, and 20% of that is 1828. I'm supposed to eat THAT MUCH? holy cow...
  • I'm trying to, but I have a really hard time meeting my calorie count as it is. When I heard I should be eating more than 1,200, I could manage like 1,400 maximum and I always felt like I'm completely STUFFING myself to try and reach it. Now that I can't eat tuna or canned soup I'm going to struggle even more to meet the…
  • It wasn't meant to be a permanent thing, just a 10 day challenge, but I stopped that today because clearly it wasn't working for me haha. I'm 5'5".
  • I never add salt to anything, but I'll definitely start watching the sodium in all my canned food. Boo. I don't have a measuring tape, also! I'll have to invest in one of those. Thanks for the advice.
  • My sodium intake might be the issue. I've been eating a lot of canned tuna and canned soup, so that might be it. I try to drink around 12cups of water a day though. Around what number would be considered 'low sodium'?
