I know it doesn't matter but it drives me a little crazy when I see the same number for more than a few days. So I pop a battery out then back in and weigh again. Then the readimg moves a couple of decimal points.

If you have the money, just do Jenny Craig and they will tell you what to eat and you don't have to think about food at all.

I am sorry for those of you who have lost folks to accidents. I do eat while driving sometimes, i will eat a protein bar or drink from a soda bottle. Honestly, I don't feel it is distracting at all. Much less than talking to the person in the passenger seat.

Interesting. Death can result from a chemist making a mistake. Death can also result from despair. This forum has many folks fighting off despair. If you don't see empathy in your posts, don't post. It is one thing to correct misinformation, another to be unkind.

Bananas for me. I could eat 2 to 3 at a sitting and hey, it is fruit so it is like eating an apple, right?

I think anything that adds delay or effort creates a tiny place for an easier choice to stop. It does seem much easier to keep from opening a container than to stop eating from an open one. Also, keeping ice cream treats in the deep freeze instead of the kitchen freezer makes it less likely I will venture downstairs for a…

I weigh every morning. Keeps it as part of a routine.

I am not familiar with binge and restrict. Generally I just make choices within the day. But I figure it as a food budget like a money budget. As long as you are responsible you will be ok.

I don't see it as punishing, I see it as evening things out as long as the numbers are reasonable. I ate my daughter's toast rather than pitch it. I cut out my bedtime snack to balance. Went to bed without dinner due to a migraine a couple of days ago. Had a slice of homemade pizza the next day. Now if I ate the leftovers…

I try to time it so that I have a snack before bed within my calorie count. That said, an apple now and again in the night shouldn't throw you far off, just log it. I log night snacks on the previous day.

I am back on Jenny Craig because it works for me. Two kids that need to gain weight, I end up making special meals for them with higher fat content and was eating tiny portions for me and ended up snacking on peanut butter sandwiches and cereal. This way I don't have to cook for me.

My biggest solution to hunger is enough sleep and delaying my first meal until I am really hungry. If I don't get enough sleep, I find I am much hungrier. I go for a walk before breakfast, which pushes the whole day worth of calories out and makes me less hungry.

Ask her to let you dish your own plate, weigh it before putting it on the plate in the kitchen. Otherwise, if she insists on dishing it, take the plate to the kitchen and weigh everything and then go back out and eat it.

Op if you are by chance on add meds talk to your doctor, they screw up your appetite.

Try picking higher calorie choices like bananas and avocados instead of tomatoes or plums. I have a very picky underweight girl, and for her it is just more of what can she eat, and add in the needed nutrients as you can. Eat faster, too. She is mostly vegetarian. As I type this, she is on her 3rd bowl of cereal to get to…

A bowl of cereal isn't going to wreck things. Don't starve yourself tomorrow to make up for it, or it will be easy to binge again. Just keep going and logging.

The thing that saves me at Disneyland is ordering kids meals for lunch-ok at counter service restaurants - and buying pickles for snacks. The thing that gets me is the churros.

I generally lose 1 to 2 lbs overnight. I always figured it is normal.

Weight, what I eat, what I wear, my hair style, how I am raising my kids, where I keep my shoes.....my mil (whom I love) comments on everything. I think we notice what we are sensitive about more, and people remember our reaction at some level and comment more about it.

It is a lot harder to lose weight at 45 than at 25, metabolism is slower and the magic exercise and intake numbers are harder to achieve. Doesn't make it impossible but does make it harder

Oatmeal .67 cup you ate. .25 cup is a serving. .67 / .25 = 2.67 servings. Or the other way. (2/3)/(1/4)=(2/3)*(4/1)=(2×4)/3=2.67

Work it into your life with kids...double stroller walking is great. Exercise videos with kids. You are probably making a meal for yourself already unless kids eat what you do, so it shouldn't be too hard to mamage your meals... just go for it

I get it. Try doing a day count, it has worked for me in the past. Count each day in the morning and at night for how many days on track you have been. Today is day 0 for me! In the morning I will say this is day1. At night I will say I made it thru 1 day. And so on...

Sure. Sent friend request. It doesn't matter what you did over the holidays, what matter is what you do right now and what you are willing to do each day to make your goal.
