it's really amazing how much better i get along with people when we just agree to not talk politics. It's an unspoken rule between me and my dad. And it's surprisingly easy to not bring it up. But I am not prepared to lose friends over it unless/until it changes from a political philosophy to delusion.

this is vague. For me, i didn't really eat anything different. Just less of it. Instead of half a pizza, 2 slices and supplement with a salad or something. i have never worked at a place where these things created hostility. But i agree with those who suggest maybe doing either a percentage or doing a total calorie burn or something different that weight lost, in order to compensate for various factors.

i don't know. I have a hard time believing that just because someone was born in January, they have a higher chance of matching with someone born in November. However, I have seen people disqualified for sillier reasons, so find a system that works for you

i depends. if i am actively trying to lose, then multple times a week. if i am in maintenance, then once every couple of weeks.

Maybe I give too much credit to my weight loss to a fitness tracker, but getting one for Christmas was the beginning of losing 45 lbs. so while I certainly see merit in what you are saying, I think I still need/want a tracker for the accountability. I hope to get where you are, but I’m not there yet.
