I think its safe to say we all love food. Life needs balance in everything. Have to find that sweet spot between good and bad. And work out.

Dieting doesn't mean your food has to be bland or boring. I made stuffed peppers last night with 93% ground beef, wild rice, mushrooms, and spinach. They were delicious. Then I had a cookie for desert.

A diet suggests a temporary change in eating habits. Instead of looking at this as a punishment "how much can I sacrifice, how long can I abstain from...." look at this as a learning opportunity.

Put in a moderate weekly weight loss goal. Measure and log regular foods. Get active. Make small permanent improvements instead extreme temporary ones.

Sure, but just refuse to dwell on the suck and the pity.
I'm not a very emotionally disciplined person but these days, shutting down the negative feelings about what needs to be done is exactly how I'm getting by.

The results will make you happy you persevered.

Also, don't deprive yourself to the point of a crash.

i, too, dwell on the suck, but i think we're talking about two different things
