Great work! I like your lesson #4, if you screw up just start again tomorrow. Yesterday was an off-track day for me, even though I worked out and it looks like I made maintenance calories, I still went way over where I wanted to be. It was one of those days. And today is a new one.

Great job!

I like the double chocolate chunk, white chocolate raspberry, and peanut butter chocolate. For me, it is a great snack and it keeps me from hitting the vending machine for a less nutritious choice (think candy bars or chips) on the nights I have school and I start getting hungry (or want something sweet). I keep a bag in…

I think it is estimating what your full day calorie burn will be (TDEE) based on where you are at that moment (1700 calories burned by 10:30 AM). So if MFP is set based on your goals for you to burn 24xx calories a day, they add in the difference 661. You will need to readjust it throughout the day. I don't have a FitBit,…

Are you doing heavy lifting? Just curious :)

Great work, you look amazing and are working that dress!

This will be my first 5K as well. I'm in the Midwest amongst all of this snow and ice, and I decided to sign up (I bought a groupon) for a Shamrock 5K in Indy. I always run inside on a treadmill, and I'm going to work up to running the 5K on the treadmill or track until I can get outdoors when it gets less snowy. Any tips…

What a great story of your weight loss and NSV's in the fitting room, much less the mirror reflection. Way to go!!! Be proud of your great accomplishment!

I'm in Cincinnati...used to live in Indy (3 different times actually). Feel free to add me if you'd like.

I've never heard of it being deadly. I've cooked it (I call it yucca) before, but just cut off the waxy outside, cut it into big chunks and in half, get rid of the stringy thing in the middle, and boil it. I have used it in soups before along with some plaintains and cabbage and other veggies, but was taught that from some…

I have gone from drinking 3-4 20oz. diet sodas a day to NONE! Water water water! Sometimes I flavor it with a little Mio or Dasani. Heck, even my son is drinking water at home (he is 7 and thinks it is cool to put the flavoring in). I still have a cup of coffee in the morning during the work week, but sodas are out.

Beautiful before and stunning after, including the sense of independence! Way to go!

THIS too!!!

THIS!!! I have a 7 year old and when his father and I split when he was 1, I've never asked for a dime. There are basic needs, but then there are also things like sports the child wants to play in, or pictures at school, or Christmas presents, Easter baskets. Buying spiritwear at school so he can fit in with the rest of…

Awesome job! Very inspirational!

Congrats! Love it!

Went day 3 without any soda (diet soda was my nemesis). Notice the "was".

I made that same mistake before. But in the whole process, I wasn't loving MYSELF. I wasn't caring for MYSELF. I didn't see the good in MYSELF. And when things in a relationship fall apart, I always thought "what did I do wrong?" Or, "why couldn't they love me?" or make whatever excuse. Half of the problem was them, but…

Thanks, I used that one. I have one JILLS1JQP

Yummm... tostones. But alas, fried and not quite healthy. But yum. :) I've made a big hearty vegetable and cabbage soup with them in it as well (also with yucca, small corn cobs, pork/your meat of choice if so inclined). Too hot for soup now for me, though.

I'm a single mom and I found I was in the same boat as you, especially when my son was in daycare. He is 7 now, and goes to before and after school during the school year, and during the summer he is in camp (with pre- and post-camp as well). I always felt like I still needed "me" time. I felt bad to put him in the…

No, but my ex-husband was from Peru. :)

Wrong...but funny :)

Well done! I, too, enjoy having some beers with friends! Everything in moderation! The moderation key is the hard part, with almost anything.

Terrific job, way to go!

That although I made some really bad food choices over the weekend, I am back on track today. I lost the weekend battle but I will continue to win the war.

No boyfriend/husband, but as a single mom of an almost 7 year old, I have great support from him. He asks me every day if I did my exercises. When I do the 30DS at home, he picks up his little 1lb weights and does it with me. Or he will do the cardio jump rope and butt kicks. Plus, he doesn't mind staying at afterschool…

I feel the same way (plus at the gym they have childcare when I need it). However, my first goal is to do a 5K, so I want to be accustomed to running outside as well.

Thanks for all the advice. I will keep my current pace and keep gradually adding distance. Any advice to switch to running outside?
