Nice to see a familiar shorty =D

I'm 5'0. My largest was at 175 (Right after I gave birth to my son). Every single pound was noticable. Even just gaining a couple pounds now obvious. I just exercise hard everyday and try to stay in my calories.

That's wonderful to hear. Welcome! =D

Your best option, I believe, is to call her pediatrician, explain the program, and take their advice.

Have not tried BBL. But have tried everything else. If you want strength training, Chalean or P90X is the way to go! From there, it depends on the intensity. P90X is definately a step ahead of Chalean, but Chalean is still challenging. Insanity is pretty much all cardio and endurance. Oh.. time wise, Chalean's workout…

Hmm you know at first I was like no way. I'm not very social and very shy about doing something like that in front of so many people... but the more I read and hear about it the more I want ot do it. I might just have to get over my public fear. It looks like a great time, and there is one just an hour from here in august.
-
I've never heard of it, but I looked it up online just now. It doesn't say how long each workout is.. but for the price it could be worth trying. I'm curious to know if anyone else has used it also.

The longest weight workout is 45 minutes. Most are right around 35. I would highly suggest Chalean, it's awesome!

Maybe working out before work? I don't know what time you have to be there etc... I have to leave my house at 7AM, drop my son off etc.. so I'm usually up at 4AM to workout.

Hmm Ijust looked and you do, but the free membership will get you access to it. It has a lot of great tools on the website besides that also.

I think that's great! I used Cardio Max and Weightloss yoga when I was dieting, and they are really good workouts. Very easy to make easier and harder as you need.

Definately wear your HRM! That's the only way to get an accurate calorie burn. Everyone is different and exerts different amounts of energy, so everyone burns differently. Good luck on Chalean, it is an AWESOME program!

I use P90X, I wouldn't suggest going under 1800 calories. A lot of it depends on your height, weight, activity level. The beachbody website has an awesome calculator to determine an accurate calorie need.

That sounds delicious!

You will gain weight with anything if you go over your calorie range. I had many people tell me that also when I first started dieting. Most protein shakes are low in carb and calories, high protein and low in fat. So it's an awesome way to get your protein in. IDK how many calories you consume, but as long as you fit it…

Do you eat meat? If so, chicken, turkey, lean beef. Protein shakes, bars. Low-fat/non fat cheese/ string cheese. Eggs, eggwhites, liquid eggs are excellent for breakfast and lots of protein. I like to cook some canadian bacon with it.
-
That's what I did also! It was still pretty tough when I start P90X after, but P90 is a great prep!
-
When I did P90X the first time, I was overweight, not obese though. I am 5'0 and weighed probably about 150-155 when I first started. I had done a couple months of working out (30 minutes a day maybe) but still wasn't really in great shape. It was tough at first. You have to modify to make it through. I certainly did. When…

Many factors will go into calories burned. Your fitness level, weight, all play factors. I would guesstimate for a pretty fit person a 40 minute an Insanity workout can burn 400-600 calories.

I have done both Chalean Extreme and P90X. Chalean's weight workouts remind me more of full body training. While she will focus on a particular part on certain circuits ( more biceps/triceps, shoulders) she always incorporates legs and shoulders into every circuit. I LOVED her program and it is definately an excellent way…

P90X is definately tough. You could use running in place of the cardio workouts. I think P90X is something most people could try and with modification you can progress and use this program for a long time. There is a way to kind of put the workouts in half if even using light weights is too difficult at first. I would also…

I know many people use BFBM regularly in their cardio routines, but maybe don't use it alone as a program. IT will give great results though, it is a major calorie burner! You could also try mixing in other cardio dvds so you don't get bored though!

What percentage is your protein set at? Many people follow a 40/40/20 carb/protein/fat ratio. I know that MFP sets protein a little low. But no, too much protein is not bad! Your muscles need protein.

If it's very swollen, you may need to rest it for awhile. If you have pool access, I know that's very easy on the joints. But, you can throw some intense punches for awhile like side punches, in the front and uppercuts.

Haha! Well you can never go wrong with Beachbody products. But I also love Jillian Michaels dvds, Biggest Loser, and some of the Billy Blanks dvds (I've only done of couple) They're all pretty easy to follow. What kind of dvds do you like?
-
Craftygirl mentioned greek yogurt.. I'd like to second that. Some are super yummy and have 10-18 grams of protein.

It's best just to find the time that works for you. The time where you have the energy to workout. Personally, I love working out in the AM. I get it done with and the rest of the day I can dedicate to other responsibilites and relaxing. Oh.. working out with a full stomach, especially for cardio, isn't really recommended,…

When I did P90X I used the protein/carb/fat ratios. I didn't use ther specific diet plan and menu options in the nutrition guide, however I did eat very healthy. I used MFP the whole time. Most people would suggest a higher calorie because you'll burn roughly 600 calories per workout. Good luck with it and have fun. =D

While I have no idea about vegetarinsim, I'm sure there are protein powders out there you could also supplement with.

No, I don't have jitters with superpump, just irritability, hehe. I've heard Jack3d is great! I went in to buy some because a tub is cheaper, but it is waaay smaller! I'm a broke college girl, haha.
