Bob Harper has some good dvds! I don't know of many strength workout dvds non-beachbody... TFX, Rip60 is pretty popular. Pauline Nordin's Butt Bible is AWESOME. She also has some great workout e-books on her site www.fighterdiet.com

Optimum Nutrition. 5lbs of quality, awesome tasting whey for $45 at Vitamin Shoppe. I just checked GNC.com and it's on sale there for $47 there. I don't check GNC much anymore, but they used to charge the list price for ON. I try and order from Vitamin Shoppe whenever possible because they typically have much better prices…

My son was diagnosed with PDD at 2 years, and 'Autism' at 2years 9 months. My son wasn't saying any words at 18 months, he wasn't waving, pointing, clapping. He never communicated that he wanted something, pretty much would just cry until we figured it out. He's been in daycare since before I had suspicions and he does…

WTG Chris! You have been truly inspirational!

Just finished a Chalean/Turbofire hybrid. DO IT!!! =D I didn't follow the hybrid schedule in the book though, I just did three days of weights, three days of cardio!

I don't have any before and after pics, but I've used it for cardio while using Chalean Extreme. (Many others have used the program alone) It is AWESOME cardio and you'll get great results if you commit to it. Oh.. and it's TONS of fun!

Haven't really tried anything else. Big fan of the ready to drink protein shakes. Been drinking them for over a year now. Finally got the dark chocolate flavor at my local Walmart not too long ago. (It's the best!)

I'm hypothyroid... I lost a bunch of weight. I grew up eating mac and cheese, pizza, ramen noodles. I never had a salad until I was 19 years old. I refused to eat anything remotely healthy. I realized if I wanted to get healthy and lose weight I'd have to try new different foods I thought I hated. Turns out, I didn't hate…

Totally correct dad106... you need hard work in the gym, but from what I hear from ALL fitness pros, trainers... abs are alllll about your diet. Clean, clean, clean.

Breakfast on the go.. ill use the lower sugar Quaker, heat it up, finish getting ready while it cools, then gobble it down, lol. I also will drink a protein shake (EAS) with a banana, or some greek yogurt w/ walnuts.

You can do cardio in your living room. Walk/run in place, kicking and punching, jumping jacks, jump rope, high knees, butt kicks, mountain climbers on the floor and standing, pushups. You can do 30second intervals of each. Whenever you're online, like checking MFP, log on to some websites, check out some moves, write them…

Well they are different programs. Chalean Extreme is more of a weightlifting program. It also has the cardio workouts, but they are much less intense than Turbofire. Turbofire is an intense cardio program. It has a couple of workouts that use resistance bands. So it really just depends on what you prefer and what your…

I like scrambled egg whites or an eggwhite omelet with spinach, tomato, peppers, onion.. tasty and high protein. You can add low-fat cheese and chicken or turkey. Chicken with black beans. Greek yogurt. (no added sugar)

Your best bet is to invest in a heart rate monitor. It will give you a more accurate calculation. I got one about two years ago and never regretted spending the money! I'm sure you can google calorie calculators though that will let you input your height, weight, and time you spent exercising and give a number. =)

I would just take your rest day on Saturday. I think it's designed that way to give people a break in the middle of the workouts. But if you're strong enough to just do 6 days and then rest, go for it!
-
Turbofire is great! I would keep the Curves just to keep up with the muscle building and use Turbofire as your cardio. It is a tough cardio program, but you can go at your own pace. =) It comes with the thigh toner and resistance band, and if you decide to do the resistance workouts you'll use them in there.

I usually use the HIIT workouts on weight days for the extra cardio. You can always sub them in for cardio days and just use the HIIT workouts, or do a HIIT workout and a shorter regular cardio.

I've been doing a Chalean and Turbofire/Insanity hybrid. I follow the three day a week weight schedule, then use Turbofire or Insanity on cardio days (I do three days of cardio, if I remember right I think Chalean gives you two rest days?) I didn't find the Chalean cardio very challenging, and I think Turbofire is a…

Cut out as much sodium as possible! This is just a tip I recently saw in (I belieeeeve) Muscle&Fitness Hers for ladies competing.
-
Hinksa - I know what you mean about Chalean being more motivating, I think the two programs are similar and different at the same time. Of course they're different in intensity and challenge, but Chalene, maybe because she's a woman, I do find her more motivating also. I'd say give P90X a try though and use Chalene for…

Welcome, Christi! =D

Push2+HIIT20+Stretch 40. I loove Push phase! The first week is always different because you're testing your body, seeing what you can do, looking forward to it all next week so I can choose a better weight to really push myself. I had skipped my rest day Friday to start Push 1, my son and I are going to UNC to participate…
