Hi

I go to curves 3x a week and have been doing 30DS. This is the first time I have ever been involved in exercise. I am 40 and weigh 181. I gave up smoking 18 months ago and am fitter than I,ve ever felt.

I am currently stuck on l2 of 30DS as I cannot manage the plank moves in level 3. I did 15 days at l1 and can now do l2 without stopping. My hubby:heart: has ordered Turbo-fire for me and I wondered how hard it is in comparison to 30DS? Do I need any equipment for Turbofire? Also (sorry) should I continue with curves or will it 'interfere' with Turbo workouts?

Thanks for reading this and answering.

:flowerforyou: I am a TF junkie. Love the program, love the music, love Chalene. You won't really need any special equipment though a thigh toner and resistance band might come in handy as you become stronger. Just remember it is an advanced cardio workout so work at your own speed. As you get more fit, the moves will become easier. You can choose New to Workout and she gives you a breadown of the sets so you will catch on faster than you think. And honestly it is up to you and your fitness level whether or not you keep up your regular workout and add TF in. I run 3 to 6 miles a day and do TF and Chalean Extreme along with it. I am 42, have lost 80 lbs and quit smoking, run a marathon and now am looking at rock climbing lessons. If I can do it, anyone can

Turbofire is great! I would keep the Curves just to keep up with the muscle building and use Turbofire as your cardio. It is a tough cardio program, but you can go at your own pace. =) It comes with the thigh toner and resistance band, and if you decide to do the resistance workouts you'll use them in there.

thanks guys...and really excited to start now...just waiting on my sports bra to come.

Lisa you are really inspiring....I put on nearly 50lbs when I gave up smoking and was in denial about my weight until summer when I finally accepted that my size 10 (uk) summer pants were not going passed my thighs. Have only been on this journey for a month but I will be slim and healthy again. My aim to start and finish Turbofire then look at running which I have never done.

Thanks Tbryd will keep at curves then cos I do enjoy going the girls are great and they do monthy weights and measures so I don't do them myself at home.

You will be fit and healthy in no time Marty. Sounds like you've got the grit and determination you need. If I can be of any help at all don't hesitate to send me a friend request. It took me a bit to get over my shyness about posting on the forums but one day I realized that if there is even one person out there who struggled the way I had, I was obligated to help them any way I could. You can do it girl!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Do you really need the resistance bands? Or can you substitute weights?
